Roger - go to Lux's website and check out his pairing recommendations. He had a lot listed.

First of all, thank you in advance! I still have some Colbeck left on my site, but if it does happen to run out, I am doing one last run for Maggard Razors that I will be sending soon.

Secondly, I do have all the scent notes within the listings on my web store, but I think Un Jour Gris is the only one listed on my Recommended Pairings page, although I know I've meant to add DeLuxe Shaving 13. Here's what I'd say:

CRSW Le Chypre Sombre with Delor de Treget (the resinous note of labdanum could work well with the leather notes of LCS), while Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli or Fourth & Pine would be okay, too.

Soap Commander Passion with Gratiot League Square (both have warm notes, spices and sandalwood), but I'll be announcing a fall LE scent soon that should go even better with this

Soap Commander Ambition would probably do well with Delor de Treget, as well.

Catie's Bubbles Un Jour Gris would be best with La Quatrième Ville, although LQV is going to be woodier and sharper. It has a feel similar to Encre Noir if you've ever smelled that.

DeLuxe Shaving 13 with Gratiot League Square, although you could also do Delor de Treget, Vide Poche or La Quatrième Ville, as well. Also a candidate for the fall LE

Hope that gives a sense of direction!

Thanks, I'll be packing that up after I throw this load of whites in the washer! Also, good choice on the DdT: I think, based on the scents you've listed, that one seems up your alley. And I hope you like the LQV, as it's perhaps my personal favorite even though it's perhaps not for everybody

I hope you enjoy Colbeck as much as I do. I'm on there now looking for more scents to order.

As promised, here are some news updates:

Colbeck

Currently there are only 10 bottles of Colbeck left. I am currently putting together a shipment for Maggard Razors, and they will have an exclusive second run of 24 bottles. After that, it's gone until next summer.

L&L Grooming Champs de Lavande, aka The Oregon Trail

As mentioned before, we were doing an emergency second run since we underestimated demand. Just to be clear: we aren't trying to yank people's chains and create artificial demand with this second run, as we don't plan on making any more for the forseeable future. Other scents, however, well that's a horse of a different color.

Unfortunately, I'm a clumsy dude and I totally dropped and shattered one of the bottles of fragrance when I was shipping it off to @"landlgrooming" for the second batch. My dining room smelled great, but I may have dropped some NC-17 rated language. Unfortunately I had used up the last of my black pepper EO on that, so I had to order some more. So we haven't been able to turn it around as quickly as possible, but that's all on me. But soon it will be here.

TSM Fougère

I know I've announced this before (October 3 for those who missed it), but a few updates. First of all: I am making a batch to send to Maggard Razors right now to ensure that they will have it when it drops. Secondly, due to the costs of the fragrance being significantly higher, the prices are going to have to be $12 for the salves and $17 for the aftershave or toner. That's why it was a limited edition previously, as selling in bulk made up for the thin margins, but to have a spot in the permanent line up, then those are the breaks.

Additionally, there will be a special release in tandem with the the TSM Fougère addition.

La Forêt de Liguest

Unfortunately, with the arrival of one fougère, we must bid adieu to another (semi) fougère. This scent was always special to me because it marked the first time I really started to challenge myself to push my boundaries. I still love the ol' girl, but there's only room in town for one. I have it stocked pretty well in case you need some before it goes.

Fragrances

After numerous requests over time, I bought some bottles to create a few limited edition runs of EdT in our most popular scents. I am trying to have a TSM Fougère ready to roll in tandem with the release, or at least soon after. Next will be Gratiot League Square and perhaps a winter LE. And that's all I have figured out on this one so far. More details to come.

Winter LE

I've been working on a scent that will come out late fall/early winter. Something I enjoy but don't really think has a place in the permanent line up. Some of the notes will include amber, cedarwood, agarwood, vetiver, black tea, cigar tobacco, tonka bean, amyris resin, jasmine powder and geranium. Warm and woody, it was conceived with the inspiration of crowding around a bonfire on a snowy but not blustery winter day.

Hey guys, I sent some more fragrance up to L&L Grooming because we felt bad that the soap sold out so quickly. We made a few more for the people who missed out and it's up at LandLGrooming.com
