Silly question. When you wear Colbeck do you smell like you were drinking gin?

The alcohol smell comes from the alcohol in the aftershave base. The scent is composed of some of the botanical scents that give gin its unique scent. It has juniper, citrus, cardamom, coriander, nutmeg and a very small amount of anise. The alcohol smell, like most aftershaves, will dissipate upon application.

For those who know, how does the scent of 4th and Pine compare to Colbeck?

The two share almost no scent notes at all. Colbeck is juniper with spices and some sharper citrus notes. Fourth & Pine is a lot of citrus notes with a touch of lavender

I'm selfish. And apparently a hoarder. Two bottles on the way! Thanks Shawn- I really enjoyed the sample and can't wait to replenish.

Ha, no problem at all, Kevin! I made plenty of stock to go around in case someone needs to pick a few up...and you won't see me complaining! Thanks for the order and I'll get it out the door first thing in the morning.

I had a rough straight razor shave today, and used your salve, and I feel no irritation now. Wondering if its jusr placebo effect or your salves are what I have been looking for Big Grin.

First of all, I'm really glad to hear that it helped! Nothing better than hearing that one of my products made someone's rough shave not-so-bad.

Also, one of the things I strove to do in the salve was to make it more than just a moisturizer (part of the reason I stayed away from the word balm, I wanted a word that evoked a healing quality). In the salve there is a very large quantity of witch hazel (equal to that of the shea butter content). Additionally, the aloe in there was also meant to do the same kind of work against redness and irritation.

But bottom line is that I'm glad to hear that it works. I guess that's really all that matters at the end of the day
