hawns and wyze0ne , sports can be amazing and it gives you the opportunity to see the best and the worst of human behaviour both on and off the playing surface (field/ice/court/pitch etc) Baseball is like this (sometimes) epic chess match. football is like an 18th century set piece battlefield, Basketball is like a jazz improv set, except of course when LBJ is playing then its more like football played in front of officials in love with him and I'm not sure how to describe hockey - a good place to lose teeth.?
I liked that the pitcher that beaned Bautista wasn't just some nobody from the minors, he'd actually just been released after 3 years in prison - there's his footnote in the history of baseball. I thought that the Blue Jays pitcher who subsequently threw the obligatory retaliation beanball at Fielder showed a lower level of classlessness by just knocking it off his butt. It could have been a lot worse.
My only MLB games that i attended were in 1971 at Jarry Park in Montreal, double header Expos vs Pirates, it was pretty cool.
