Ah, right, the all-important O! Marko (I also go with hawns because Shawn is always taken)

Usually we do the pairings on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. I got kind of lazy with Twitter, since the picture doesn't show up if I link the account from Instagram, but I've been much better about it. We're @ChatillonLux on both channels, though.

I figured out hawns eventually. I did Marko for the same reason. I'll follow you on instagram and twitter. As I said I don't do Facebook and don't really plan to. Now for a non sequitor, who is the horseman pictured on your label?

Various permutations of my name, last name, middle as well as a nickname I have had since a kid but none are reliably available for screen names.

kwsher means zilch so typically available [believe it or not, one time it was not!] and is k for Kevin, w for middle and first 4 of my last name.

Looking forward to getting my order in hawns! The Bon Vivant is a must and have been reading through the others... any other "must tries" you can recommend? Think I will get some AS as well as toner to check out.

Thanks!

Hey kwsher, just do what I did and get them all! Smile I started with 2 toners, a salve and a sample toner and loved them all so I figured what they hay.

Sound advice Marko! I am trying to cut back at least nominally as our new house will be done in April and we [#mywife #whoisawesome] have started boxing stuff up.

Couple boxes arrived yesterday and she raised an already arched eyebrow based on the timing of the move and current "inventory".

What are your current three favorites?

I haven't received my latest order yet but I currently have Bon Vivant, Gratiot League Square and La Foret de Liguest in toners and Delor de Treget in salve and love them all. Its my goal to eventually have all of them in both toner and salve. I know, its hard to see my beloved Bay Rums sit there while the new kid on the block gets applied every morning but these are really great.

There are worse hobbies you could have. If you're moving into a new house I hope you designed your shaving space with ample storage!Smile

Well, I already had "hawns" in the chamber because, when I was younger, I realized that Hawns Harem is an anagram of my name. I decided that if I were ever to become a Bond-style secret agent, then that would be my code name.

Also, Marko, I do Facebook, but mostly for shaving groups and to follow bands, restaurants, and other companies that may be posting information that I'm interested.

Lastly, kwsher, our most popular scent is Gratiot League Square, followed by either Champs de Lavande or La Forêt de Liguest. I made LFdL as selfishly for myself. I think our upcoming vetiver/cypress scent, La Quatrième Ville, is perhaps my favorite. Which I realize is a giant tease to say.

Completely agree.

I thought I had some pics of the master bath layout but they don't really grab the shaving area exactly. But, plenty of space for stuff.

I'm looking forward to La Quatrieme Ville as I love vetiver and cypress too - what is the significance of the name?  The fourth city. When is the release date?

I like anagrams and also palindromes - my daughter's name for instance Hannah and my favourite "Go hang a salami I'm a lasagna hog".  I never worked up a secret agent name but I did come up with a punk rock name - I was growing up in the late 1970s when the punk/new wave movement started, Sex Pistols, Ramones Police, Dire Straights, Cheap Trick etc.  I came up with Brun Rancid as my punk rock name - Brun came from a bottle of Lamb's Navy Rum with bilingual labelling Brun being french for dark i guess.  Rancid just fit.  He never recorded. First of all, Marko, sorry I forgot to answer your question: the horseman on the bottle is Saint Louis, himself. It's an iconic statue that's out in front of the art museum in Forest Park and was built for the World's Fair in 1904.

https://www.stlouis-mo.gov/archive/histo...tatue.html

At that time, St. Louis was also called The Fourth City (Chicago being second, and I believe Philadelphia was third?). It's a nod to the way that this city loves being the underdog. It's the Rodney Dangerfield of cities in our minds. Also, the scent we were wanting to create was more refined and kind of old fashioned, so we thought that the World's Fair was a good place to start for the inspiration for the scent.

And palindromes are great, too, but Brun Rancid is pretty badass.
