Chatillon Lux Fall Schedule

This Saturday, Chatillon Lux’s Lamplight Penance Parfum Extrait comes out. Read about the making of it here and read Luca Turin’s four-star review here.

There will also be one-run only of aftershave, toner and shaving soap (the fragrance replaces natural ambergris and orange blossom with synthetic components to keep the costs from reaching outrageous territory). You can get the Chatillon Lux products at ChatillonLux.com, Maggard Razors, Top of the Chain and West Coast Shaving, as well as the fragrance at Perfumariē. The soap will be available directly at DeclarationGrooming.com and will be in the Icarus base in special fancy containers just for this release. It will be released at 12 pm Eastern.

As for supply vs demand, there was much more made than there was for Santal Auster. But the shaving stuff is one run only and will not be made again.

So no soap available from Maggard? I know you might not be the person to ask, but thought I would just in case. Thanks Shawn.

I've enjoyed the scent a great deal--and quite often, as I broke the almost full vial in the Tom Bihn bag I carry with me everywhere I go. I love the bag even more with its omnipresent scent of Lamplight Penance...

My order for the Lamplight Penance Parfum was a given and is already in, along with a bottle of Lavande Poivre EdT.  That latter scent I picked up as a sample and it continued to surprise me so much that I just had to get the full bottle.  Great stuff, Shawn.

I’m horrible at describing scents. About the best I can do is state that Lamplight is one of the “darker” scents, along with Quattrieme, Gratiot, Unconditional Surrender and Foret. Not at all like the lighter scents, such as Fourth & Pine, Delor de Treget, Lavande or Fougere. I like them all—haven’t met a Shawn scent I don’t like, yet.
