I have 2 Chatillion Lux after shave toners, TSM Fougere, and Gratiot League Square. The performance is amazing. My skin feels great afterwards, the moderate cooling 'burn' feeling when applying is very satisfying, and the scents are on point.

I find myself asking one question though, does anyone think that this scent should last a bit longer?

I am really curious to hear what you all think. Par for the course?

I think Chatillon Lux scents are among the longest lasting of any post shave product I've ever used. I currently only use the aftershave versions though. It's been a long time since I've used the toner (only had samples).

Sorry, as soon as I posted this entry I thought I may have confused the offerings (There are quite a few). I have the aftershaves of the above scents listed. Compared to my Lavanille splash, these seem to die out a bit sooner.

Don't get me wrong I still enjoy them and notice the scent a few hours later. Just noticed that it doesn't last quite as long.

Thank you for your thoughts, and I am sorry for my mistake in terms of naming.

Just to add to this. I have only tried the aftershave. Anyone have/tried the aftershave and toner of the same scent notice if one lasts longer then the other? Thanks.

I currently only have a salve from chatillon lux and as wyze0ne mentioned previously, the scent is quite long lasting to me.

I think Marko should chime in here. He's got the entire collection!

Well, that sounds like a challenge Smile I have pretty much the entire Chatillon Lux line up in toner, aftershave and salve. I am missing a couple of releases that were either specials for a particular group or I couldn't get for some other reason but man, let me tell you, as far as face feel, conditioning and scent there is nothing else out there that does the job like Chatillon Lux. Shawn is also a first class, stand up guy with an incredible nose and a passion for the St. Louis area and history which happens to be where he lives. If it were up to me, he'd get a key to the city. What an ambassador of good will and post shave goodness. So here's the drill - I don't know the climate where you live but I'm up in Western Canada and it can be harsh and dry up here some times. Cold too, although right now its 32 celsius and a little smokey from forest fires but I'll generally use the toners in the winter and the aftershaves in the summer. Later in the day if I feel that I need a boost of goodness and maybe a little kick in the scent I'll put on some salve and that just soothes everything down. I'll finish by saying there's a reason soap makers like Scott at L&L Grooming, Ryan at Tallow +Steel and Sri at Wholly Kaw have been doing collaborations with Shawn at Chatillon Lux and that's Shawn's awesome scents. And of course the wonderful soap bases of those guys too. There is no doubt that all of my other post shave products haven't been getting the love they deserve - every morning when I name my starting lineup, Chatillon Lux just muscles its way to the front of the line.Big Grin

I use the toners and the scent lasts longer if I apply it when my face is wet. I'm not sure why that works.

I live in Seattle, so I don't have the cold and dry issues. Otherwise, I can vouch for everything in Marko's post. I only have Chatillon Lux aftershave splashes, but I've got 19 of them, and a few duplicates, among my 120 or so aftershave splashes. I also have three or four L&L/CL soaps. Chatillon Lux is my favorite aftershave family, and L&L is my favorite shaving soap family.

At first, I found the CL a bit tacky on my skin. Boy howdy, have I gotten past that phase! It may be just as tacky, but I love the feel. And the scents are awesome--all 19 of them. I'm looking forward to the Wholly Kaw release of its new soap in CL Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli--perhaps my favorite Chatillon Lux aftershave.
