Catie's Bubbles New Limited Edition Luxury Cream Soaps

Has anyone else seen the two new soaps from Catie's Bubbles luxury line? The ingredients are different and it is called a luxury cream soap base. It is available in two scents, Menage a Lavender and Florentine Fern. Both scents sound nice but I think I may go for the lavender. The additional ingredients are shea butter and sodium hydroxide (lye), and they have jojoba oil like the French + formula except it is listed further up in the ingredients thus, I assume there is a larger percentage of it.

These soaps cost $18.00 each for 4oz.

Florentine Fern

An limited edition fougere that opens with sweet italian fennel, rosemary, and a light touch of bergamot supported by lavender and geranium over a smooth base of amyris, cedarwood, cedarmoss and coumarin in our new luxury cream soap base.

I bought the Lavender one and used it the other day. At first the scent is mellow but once you wake it up, it becomes quite nice. The post shave was quite nice on this as well.

I really don't need more soap but am quite interested in Waterlyptus for the spring/summer.

Just had a chance to take the Menage a Lavande for a spin last night. Post shave and protection were a step up fro the main CB line while keeping the slickness I enjoy about it. Definitely give it a bit more water and work and it's quite nice.

As for the scent, it is on the floral end of the lavender spectrum. It's close to JabonMan Lavanda if you've tried that. I like it well enough, but the wife LOVES it, so it will get a pretty solid amount of use.

Thanks for sharing. How is the consistency of the soap compared to the French line? Is it softer like a cream?

I became enamoured with Fougeres lately. So florentine fern looks great. Might give it a go!

Consistency is similar to the French+ and Italian lines, slightly firmer than the French line.

It loads very easily, I think I only needed 10 seconds or so, and it took on a fair amount more water than the other CB formulas so I ended up with ample amount.

I havent tried the new Lux line, but I do have the Cranberry and honey noir French plus soaps. I didnt enjoy them as much as the regular line, being the French style. The scents were kind of sour. Like a fresh Carnation flower. They lathered and shaved fine, just not as well scented as the main line. I'll stick with the main line.

Good to know. I surprised they haven't switch the French over to the French + line. The only ingredient difference is jojoba oil. Also, it would be nice to have the option to buy 4oz of all their scents. The three scents I tried from their French all smelled great.
