Something I've noticed, not just here but on almost every shave forum. There are subforums for cooking, photography, coffee, pens, etc. I don't find many of the more manlier pursuits.

Take off those aprons fellas, put the fancy 18th century writing implements down, take some time off from photographing pretty flowers, put down that thin, fancy, gold rimmed teacup, quit sniffing your perfumes for a minute and tell us what sort of things you enjoy, what kind of car you drive or want, how big was the fish you caught, your golf handicap, your favorite sports and teams, how much you can benchpress, what epic hike have you done lately, or whatever you enjoy.

I'll start - Waiting for warmer weather to play some golf with my buddies. Had a chance to play a few rounds on a recent business trip to the Caymans and that got my juices flowing. So yep, I'm a golf fiend, can't get enough. I like boxing and football. My team is Manchester City F.C. Currently driving a 2012 Mercedes C63 AMG with Performance package. This year marks my 3rd for skydiving, what a freaking blast this is!

What about you guys?

Haha my apron is sulking as I write this,

I am a big football fan, and support a real team (Bristol Rovers). I also play a lot of football predominantly 5 a side. I am a golf fan, I used to play off high single figures but my job prevents me playing as much as I use to so its more like 18 now but not official. I like Ju Jitsu and I like to keep fit but I am not a bench press type of guy.

I am a fan of cars and bikes, and I can drive and ride. Although unfortunately I don't have the bank balance to role around in an AMG

I do some mountain biking occasionally.

Oh and I have done a few skydives for charity and would love to get my licence but that won't happen until I have a house under my belt.

I'm a basketball fan right now. I grew up playing hockey but my son took to basketball and currently plays CIS (Canadian Interuniversity Sports) which is like Canadian D1 ball. At 6'7" he's more suited to basketball than hockey. I've spent so much time in gymnasiums and driving to tournaments watching basketball that I eventually developed an appreciation for the game. I'm a big US College basketball fan and by virtue of The Big 10 Network I've become a fan of almost all of the Big 10 teams and a few others as well. I watch some NBA and I'm a fan of the Spurs and the Warriors - I love that style of ball which is way more fun to watch than Lebron James steamrolling down the lane and getting the and 1 even though by any reasonable definition its a charge.

I'm driving a 14 F150 FX4 with a 6.2l, 411HP - its the same engine they put in the Raptor but there's no badging so its a stealth truck. I wouldn't beat an AMG in any race, on the road that is.Smile but I can carry more stuff in the back.

I have a Weber smokey mountain cooker water smoker and in the summer I like to smoke pork butts, ribs and brisket with the occasional salmon thrown on as well. Its slow food not fast food and sitting and tending the smoker and having a beer or two gives you lots of time to think about stuff - like why I like applewood smoke more than hickory and cold beer is better than warm beer. Don't get me wrong, hickory smoke is important but just not too much of it.

You can call me a redneck if you like, and that would be just fine.

I'm not a fan of any of the organized team sports, but I love to watch MMA, ever since I watched Royce Gracie destroy guys 3 times his size in the first Ultimate Fighting Championships back in 1991/92.  Love to watch some sweet Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Thai Boxing...good stuff!

I don't own a car, but I ride a 2002 BMW K1200RS motorcycle as my primary source of transport. Nothing better than leaning hard through a tight, twisty curve and throttling out...feeling that slingshot effect of centrifugal force throwing the rubber against the pavement, your chest pressed into the tank, chin trying to kiss the mirrors... I can't wait for spring....

And rattlesnakes. Probably one of my favorite pursuits is photography, but not pretty flowers and puppy dogs, I like snakes, especially rattlesnakes of the Crotalus genus. I think they are absolutely gorgeous and fascinating animals, and I spend a good part of my spring and fall flipping rocks and natural debris hoping to encounter a den full of angry rattlers. Folks in these parts call me if they have a rattler in their yard or house to come get it out because I do it for free and I don't hurt the snakes. It's easy to love the small, cute, furry critters in the world. A real animal lover loves the ones that can kill you...and aren't afraid to try!

This is a photo of a young Great Basin Rattlesnake, Crotalus lutosus. This one was actually born in captivity, son to an albino mother:

And this is actually his albino sister--

Both of these bad ass snakes are captive born, and currently living in my friends house, but their mother was a wild-caught local. Very rare to find a wild albino rattler that lives to adulthood...

This is, truly, one of the most offensive posts I have ever seen here.  Take your testosterone somewhere else! Keep in mind that we welcome women on this site.  I am interestested to know what the female members have to say.  Keep in mind that many/most of our members are married and hearing from the female point of view of wet shaving is very important.  Please keep your sexismm to yourself.  Thank you.

I don't think this post was meant to be offensive to either women or men but rather intended to solicit discussion about other, more rugged pursuits and interests which I think are not necessarily limited to women. I admit that the inclusion of "even women" in the header should probably be reconsidered or changed to "even relationships" although I don't think many members would discuss their relationships here but maybe they would - like me. I'm married for 25 years to a fantastic woman, great companion, awesome mother who has tolerated me and my various pursuits like shaving (eye roll), trucks with big engines and my almost pathological dislike of referees of any kind. I am a truly lucky and blessed man and I don't mind telling folks about it.

Can we edit the header and start over on this thread because I think it can be a good one?
