Following Carbon Shaving on Instagram for two weeks I thought the razor would sell for $175-200 max. Was I wrong. Everybody wants to make a killing on the backs of wet shavers who basically are non-cartridge users.

While I don't plan on buying one any time soon, I do have to say that there have been some razors in the past which I thought were over priced until I actually used them. Let's wait and see what the reviews say before crucifying them. In the mean time, I'm just happy to see another artisan razor in the market.

Give it a couple good reviews and everyone will be trying to get one. The specs sound promising but i don’t think anything will dethrone my wr2’s as my daily driver.

Don’t say “everyone”. Although I had high hopes for a better price range, I don’t care how it shaves. For $299 with that handle and built in “character” I will pass. I have plenty other razors, as do most of you, to keep me busy till I die.

Take it easy buddy. I think you can figure out what I was trying to say.

I really do hope they do well. I like seeing new minds and new money coming into the wet shaving space. I don’t like seeing people fail. But they won’t be getting my financial support at this time.

It's sharp and it cuts. I like it...

I posted on their Instagram feed that it was beyond the price point I was set at but, I still did wish them a successful launch. I want no small artisan razor manufacturer to fail in this great hobby of ours (Remember Raw Shaving sadly?). Who knows, maybe it will hit them that perhaps they came in a bit to high and if sales aren't what they expected, they might bring that price down some. Perhaps not enough to convince me to be honest. I agree with a poster here that if it were in the $175-$200 range I might have succumbed and purchased.

Like I said, wishing them the best and congrats to those that took one for the team and acquired one. Looking forward to some good reads and reviews..... Happy2
