I ordered one of these gorgeous Captains Choice copper bowls on the recommendation of Shavemd

Question - does anybody know if there is any difference in inside volume between the standard and heavyweight copper bowls?

Thanks

Edit: the one I ordered was heavyweight.

Sorry, I can't help you on that question but I can compare the heavy copper bowl to the Captain's Choice ceramic lather bowl. The copper bowl is bigger with higher sides and larger diameter of the inside so it will have grater volume.  Interestingly, even though the ceramic bowl has more aggressive texture rings molded into it than the copper bowl, the copper bowl lathers as well if not better.  Its like the copper has a texture that appears smooth but isn't if that makes any sense.

The volume between mine ( heavy vs standard copper ) are nearly identical. These are made by hand so there is some variation between all the copper bowls

I don't know how much the ceramic bowl weighs. But copper is 218 grams. This weight is not great in the hand. For example, the GP bowl is 480 grams. I really like CC both for the size and how it works. Photo 30 SHD Manchurian. And the bowl does a great job. A very nice bowl, my favorite.

On the CC site, the large and standard bowls are the same size (very strange). But the standard bowl has a curved edge. And it seems to me that it is more beautiful and convenient.

First use of this wonderfully well built heavy copper Captain's Choice bowl. Thanks for the recommendation Shavemd and Marhos24 .

There is quite a bit more internal volume than the standard ceramic, likely because the walls are thinner, but as others have mentioned it seems taller also.

As you can see it whipped up a lather very well. It was also very comfortable to hold in the hand. The weight was comfortable, I'm glad I got the heavy one.

That's BM Reserve Lavender whipped up in there.

I'm in Canada and I had to contact Captains Choice via email and it all worked out fairly smoothly from there.  Check out the shipping info on the website and see what it says - I think it mentions international orders there.

If you look just below all the thumbnail pics you will see a link for shipping outside USA

Fantastic Stuff  Happy2 I love B&M line of soaps lavender is great I truly Appreciate it a lot and use quite often almost empty lol

As per Captains Choice Bowl I have to get one eventually smaller size version that they have.

Wish if they would make Stainless Steel one but I’ll be very happy with copper  Happy2

Love the brush too by B&M small knot but does great job.

Thanks AlanH81 ! I’m very happy with the heavyweight copper Captains Choice bowl.

The BaM brush is a favorite of mine also. At $10 it is hard to beat. It has, as you mention, a small knot and the flow through is excellent.
