I love Murphy and McNeil soaps (especially the Kodiak formula). However, I avoided Bad Mor due to the clove content. I am pretty sure it would irritate my skin.
You're probably right about Bad Mohr, its right on the line for me - warms me almost too much but not.  I agree with yo on the DR Harris soap - performance is mediocre, the creams perform better.  I've never seen their Bay Rum scent in a soap or a cream, just aftershave splash and also a hair tonic with and without oil - I use the one with oil - very sparingly to keep fly aways down.  I live in a very dry climate and I used to sport a buzz cut for about 20n years and wasn't an issue but now my hair is longer and I'm older.  Anyway, I like it.

After looking at those pictures of the heavy copper bowl, I could resist no longer!! I ordered one TODAY! From Captains Choice of course.

I just today received a Griffith Custom carved Mammoth tusk brush with 2 band Silvertip and had to come up with a fantastic bowl so as to cradle and highlight the brush!!  This combo is a Legacy for one of my grandsons. Something to remember me by.

I may just wait for the bowl to arrive for the Maiden Voyage of the Mammoth. A match made in Heaven!

Is one able to hold the copper captains choice bowl one hand while lathering? I was unsure whether it was too big for this. Thanks
