Canadian Schick Injectors

I acquired an injector that has printed on the head's underside, Made in Canada, and I am looking for any info folks might have on this. Appleby's list is quiet on this razor. Some info I have found states the Canadian plant was near Niagara Falls and used parts from both Type Gs and Type Es. My curiosity is piqued and I hope to find out more information! The seller called it a Canadian Type G.

I will be careful on the first shave, as many say E is "aggressive" compared to G, and I love my G! Thanks for the help, Shave Historian!

I'm not up on all the Injector lingo but this flap I'm pretty sure is exclusive to E's

I will bow to your knowledge on that. The seller was on eBay and I believe the razor was listed as a Canadian Type G, but the patent date is earlier, according BBS's Dummie Guides. In any event, sort of a peach fruit color, not quite orange. Tomorrow I plan to do a few strokes with it and the Type G that I tried to bend the spring on to make it tighter. At some point, someone probably pried it open to remove the blade without using a key. Whiterock suggested a gentle squeeze to tighten it back so the blade doesn't rattle in place (talk about blade chatter!).

So in my own way I am taking baby steps down the path Dave so brazenly walks when he shaves with historical pieces. Remember the electric DE razor?! That had some great comments in the video and the discussion in his Journal! (I sure hope that one is here and not that Other Place).

That one is still on my YouTube channel. I think you'll like the E and hope you do. If not keep me mind if you sell it. Those from Canada are harder to come by. It may be a mix of parts too, I ain't that smart with them as I said

More to the point it is a Canadian E2 variant. See the guard it is smooth, the E3 was the first model to have striations in the guard to help stretch skin while shaving.
