Why are you so upset? And yes, I locked my own thread because I don't like dealing with rude people.
What makes you think I'm upset? It's a fact that you've exploited the new Wolfman policy, so I thought I'd ask.

Funny to me that you think other people are rude when you're purposefully misusing the site.

Yet again, another example of what’s wrong with this forum. Too many little soy boys taking over this forum. It’s a shame DFS has fallen this far. Like I said prior, TSN is starting to become a better forum than DFS at this point

Don't quite agree with the above statement. It is really simple. If you don't like the BST rules, don't use the BST. If you want to place any blame, place it directly at the feet of the freaking trolls, who can't keep their noses out of other's BST threads. This is a fine forum. Plenty of interesting people who share our common interest. If you think Andrew is tough, you would hate me as a Mod. That I can guarantee.

I don’t know what a soy boy even is but I sure do hope I’m not one!  As for the usefulness of this site I must disagree with you that a forum needs to have no rules (I guess that’s your postulation) to be of value.  I for one don’t wish to watch verbal muggings daily.  Shoot, it’s shaving, not national foreign policy debates. For me, DFS is the best I visit because of decorum.

I had to look it up too. Seems rich to me the guy whining about the decline of the forum is dragging it down with name calling. Someone learned a new "slur" on the playground.

Like others here, John, I had to look up the term “soy boys” to learn its meaning.  The fact that so many members did not know its meaning speaks more to their honesty in just wanting to enjoy the site than it does to your insult.

Both andrewjs18 and I were, at one time, part of The Shave Nook (TSN) team, Andrew as an administrator and I as a moderator, before we were unceremoniously dropped from those positions and eventually banned without explanation.  Both of us have moved on, wish TSN no animosity, and have come to realize that Phil chose to take the “Nook” in a different direction than Andrew chose to go with Damn Fine Shave.  There is nothing wrong with that and, indeed, gives those of us in the shaving hobby choices we might otherwise not have.

I have been with DFS since the beginning, in both its original form and in its current iteration under Andrew.  From the beginning, Andrew wanted as few rules as possible.  I was not sure that would work after coming from TSN (which has way more than you’ll find here) but Andrew assured me that less was better and over the years he has been proven correct, as far as I’m concerned.  We moderators, including Andrew, are not asked to toe the line to a specific way of thinking and all ideas are listened to in our discussions.  This site has more consensus building than many others and that is a strong point, not a weak one.  That does not mean that the four moderators always agree or that each of us is happy with every decision that is made.  It does mean that, more often than not, fewer rules and regulations are added to the site.

When a new rule is added, it usually comes when nothing else we try works and Wolfman threads and posts are perfect examples of that.  As has been mentioned, the moderators cannot be everywhere and we count on the respect and common sense of our members.  When that does not happen then we must look for other ways, including rules, to keep the site true to its major focus, which is our shaving hobby.

Ultimately, John, as long as you respect others here, even if you disagree with them, you are free to visit and post, you are free to visit other sites, and you are free to go back and forth between TSN (or any other shave site) and DFS.  If you continue to throw insults then, yes, the rules will kick in.  The choice is yours.

JohnB413 is now spamming the BST's with the word Wolfman to mess up advertisements. Trolling should not be permitted. Put some teeth behind the rules and take the trash out. Please.
