This may be true. Yet, I'd like to see as many of these forums survive as possible. I look more to the brotherhood, than the policies...

I like the confirmation box. I like the red banner. I do not like the Wolfman posting block; bitching about pricing runs counter to the red banner / forum rules and shoild result in suspension, so why the need for the special block? Seems very inconsistent. Sometimes the comments are positive and some of us like them.

Most of the same people are on all the forums anyways

the block is there because wolfman threads are a problem, plain and simple. we do not feel like devoting so much of our limited time to moderating wolfman threads because people are upset that someone is asking more for a wolfman razor than James sells them for direct...even though they're breaking no rules on DFS whatsoever when doing so.

Why not enforce the existing rule first, for which there is a giant, can't-be-missed red banner? Are the mods finding there are too many members being suspended already for Wolfman-related infractions?

Personal bias: I like the comments in the Wolfman sale threads, at least the positive ones. So we'll clearly be missing those. I trust the decision has been made, and that's that. Just seems like an overreach at this stage ... said without intention to offend and obviously without knowledge of previous comments you may have had to delete. The moderation of the site has been wonderful from what I can tell, including that of the BST subforum.

we will...for every other thread except for the wolfman threads. since a good bit of the b/s/t issues were from wolfman threads alone, we applied a fix that'll take care of that automatically without mod intervention.

as I said before, we don't have unlimited time to just sit around and police wolfman threads/posts. we also like to enjoy the forum as well.

it's not. if you have seen the amount of posts we have to moderate that are wolfman related over the years, you'd understand why we did what we did.

Living on the edge
Just curious....does the system automatically lock any BST thread that even mentions the world 'wolfman'?
Sometimes people may mention the word by way of comparison even thought the ad is for another item.

No, it shouldn’t.  We had to institute the new system because whenever someone wanted to sell a Wolfman, so many of the posts were snarky, judgmental, and, in some cases, insulting, that the B/S/T aspect virtually disappeared from the thread.  Did we want to institute this?  No.  Did we have to?  Sadly, yes.
