Here is what I've discovered with all my experience making custom brushes.

Women like big and soft. So a large knot 26 to 30 mm, they have a lot of real estate to cover and a big brush makes sense. Also This brush needs to be able to hold a lot of lather and stay warm longer. A scuttle is recommended if you are going to bowl lather. A fan knot can help hold more lather. Cheap silvertips badgers may not cut it, floppy badgers don't tend to keep lather around as long. Scritchy badger will turn them off. A nice dense 26mm fan or a bulb 28 is the sweet spot. Go with the 26 fan for leg lathering and the 28 bulb for bowl/scuttle lathering. Not all badgers are equal, and if this is your once chance to recruit a lady to wetshaving you want good equipment. I'll list out some option with products I'm familiar with.

I or someone else can custom make handles to go along with these these or I may have cheap mass produced handles available at some point. Laddies tend to enjoy a longer handle to help reach the difficult areas.

Now. For some people on a budget these may not be possible, the good news is large synthetics are also a good option. they hybrid shape on the V2 on these knots are ideal for face or leg lathering. while the v1 is better for bowl lathering. They hold a lot of lather and are, well Übersoft. the disadvantage with all synthetics is the amount of water and heat they retain. Also you can't replicate the overall feel of a good badger with a synthetic (no matter what people claim) They can hold a lot of lather and can make lather easily though.

Thanks for the info envyshave. I'm in the process of trying to convert my wife and was looking for good brush options. What is the difference between the Ubersoft and Ubersoft 2?

My wife loves her 24mm Maggards synthetic. Well priced, plisson type knot, and pretty good backbone. She likes the amount of lather she gets out of it.

I have both the Ubersoft and Ubersoft II in 24mm and another Ubersoft in 30mm. My Ubersoft 24 and 30 are from Whipped Dog but Peter of Wolf Whiskers told me that is the Ubersoft Larry sells, and my Ubersoft II is from Peter of Wolf Whiskers (see my avatar). They look and feel nearly identical. I actually prefer the original Ubersoft but they are very similar and I enjoy both. I find the Ubersoft 24mm splays significantly easier than the II but that could also have to do with the loft height which is about 4mm higher on the WD. If backbone is what one is after then the II offers more in my experience, and although I have a slightly shorter loft on my II the difference is more than what I feel the loft would account for alone. Supposedly the fibers on the II are designed differently for better heat retention. I haven't noticed a difference because I used warm water for lathering in the past and now use cold water. All in all they are both excellent brushes but I suggest the Ubersoft II for those wanting more backbone and the original Ubersoft for those wanting easier splay. The splay is not near as easy as a Plisson type knot but still splays very well.

Happy to help. One more thing I forgot to mention, the Ubersoft tips feel equal in softness to Plisson.

Also, the Ubersoft II is a hybrid shape vs. a bulb of the Ubersoft.

Whipped dog synthetic may be similar, but they doe not have Übersoft. I do source Ubersoft to brushmakers, but never to whipped dog. Peter does use ubersoft knots.
The shape of the knot is the biggest difference, though there are some other small differences.
