THIS!

No disrespect to any other fine Brush Makers. But Bernd is easy to contact, no wait lists, no timed releases, no settling for something because the one you want sold.

You really can't go wrong with any brush from Shavemac.

Gentlemen, I have dearly enjoyed the Shavemacs I own. I've got a couple Elite Razor brushes headed my way, and I'm working with Brad Sears now too. I suppose i'm always looking for the unicorn, and I would very much like to own some of the more rare brushes out there. In addition, I suppose for once, I would like to see the newest "Paladin" or "Wiborg" in its infancy, before they are impossible to obtain. We will see if my pursuit dies down, perhaps I will just get one or two more Shavemacs and ride those babies into the sunset.

An artisan with whom I have a ton of respect for their creativity and quality has been working for the past year on sourcing and perfecting the hand tying of high end badger knots.

Although I don't believe they are ready to share progress as of yet I just this week saw some imagery of a knot and based on what I saw this will be your next Paladin or Varlet.

Apologies for being cryptic but not my cat to let out of the bag - stay tuned!

I like his work and plan to order a silvertip from him soon.

hrfdez - Have you ever tried his Silvertip? I would like to know how soft it is compared to a Thater 3 band silvertip.

I own several of Brad's Silvertips and they are very nice. I don't own any 3 band Thaters so I can't compare. But, I can vouch his Silvertip knots are superb. Soft with great backbone.

I'm rolling with one of Brad's 2-band knots. We will see how it goes.

I do not own any of his work ... as of yet, but I was very surprised recently when I was referred to Brad Sears from a gentleman deeply immersed, and highly respected in the world of shave brushes.
Quite a recommendation, indeed!
