Breakfast and a lather bowl

Let my start this off by saying that this is almost too embarrassing to publish.

I have one of these Jimmy Dean breakfast bowls pretty regularly for breakfast.I've always though that the bowl would be good to lather in. They comes in a black plastic bowl with the logo embossed on the bottom:

So I decided to test my theory. I loaded my Satin Tip brush with La Toja for about 5 seconds and began to lather with a few drops of water in the bowl.This is after about 30 seconds

A little more water and another 30 seconds.

Added water twice more and about a minute later

A lather bowl for the frugally minded.

Nicely done! Who knows? Post shave properties of breakfast sausage are likely pretty solid too

The oils must have some moisturizing properties. And adding the scent of bacon to your lather, who doesn't want that?

What's not to like? It might be too light? But otherwise .... FREE IS GOOD.

The raised Jimmy Dean logo in the bottom likely provides sufficient texture to enhance the lather formation without being so rough as to damage the brush. I like it. How many uses do you think you can get out of a single bowl before it cracks? If you have one every day you'll have a supply on hand and this would allow you to easily do multiple latherings so you can compare soaps side by side.

I don't think it works wear out that quickly, it's sorta soft and flexible. I like the idea of comparing soaps side by side. Nice idea!

I like your thinking

It looks like that works well.  I generally use my scuttles, because I like the warm water effect, but when the weather gets hot, I like the stylishness of my élan bowl or the Helen Chen suribachi.  The élan is not textured at all, but lather still builds satisfactorily, and the suribachi has rough ridging, which promotes lather but requires some care. I got some cheap, somewhat textured (like hammered copper but plastic) salad bowls at a Target store, and while one of them worked fairly well, it didn't earn a place in my regular rotation, and they ended up being used for soups and salads.

+1 on the Helen Chen suribachi.

I leave my razor and brush in it and it looks really cool.

I thought Jimmy Dean was famous for his sausage. That worked perfectly however.
