I have brass and stainless steel razors. I don’t notice a difference in face feel. The main difference to me is maintenance. SS razors are basically maintenance free. Maintenance is required on brass razors if you don’t like patina.

Agree with others: brass and bronze feel softer but also have stiction and drag to my experience. Wanted to love Ti but in the end it is dead re feedback and too light. Despite searching the product universe of high end razors for ultimate material, have come to accept SS as the best for heft, feel, feedback and lack of resistance - it also is easiest to clean and maintain.

I'll take Stainless over Brass or Copper anytime. I like Titanium as the head but prefer a stainless handle to add weight.

I've got both brass and stainless, have had Ti, but sold those. The material makes no difference to me. I judge the razor on the build, not the material. IOW, I like them all.  Smile

I totally agree that brass has an odor to it that I find unpleasant.

I used to have the Karve CB brass but have the Karve SS now. I preferred the look and feel of the brass tbh. The SS is more durable of course and both shave excellent. The craftsmanship is excellent. It requires some more maitenance if you don't want a patina to form but it's easy to clean off with a toothpaste and toothbrush.

Will buy your charcoal level 2 plate when I’m eligible in one week after this Sunday if still available. Newbie to the sight but not wet shaving. Trying to figure out how to pm on this.

shaver69 if you are referring to me ... If you've got a Facebook account you can do a search for 'Wet Shaving Enablers' and once you get there, search for 'DE Safety Razors, Timeless SS .95 OC, Charcoal Goods Lv2 SB baseplate'

[font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]That'll be me, and you can message me there.

Seems you have to be a member there to message. I put in for membership but not sure how long it takes for approval.
