I'm glad you appreciate our efforts! Moonjava, like Alpolina and some other resins can be a tricky to get right. But once those techniques are mastered, they can be quite spectacular.

Good evening, Gentlemen.

We've recently seen an increase in requests to either purchase our brush handles without a knot--or for us to set knots from other makers into our handles. Although we have occasionally honored these requests in the past, our business has grown to the point where the wet shaving community has come to expect certain aesthetic and performance characteristics from our brushes. We believe that maintaining these unique characteristics is vital to retaining the distinctiveness of the Morris & Forndran and BSSW brands. For that reason, we have changed our policy to sell only complete shaving brushes under the Morris & Forndran and BSSW names.

We are honored by the enthusiastic response our shaving brushes have received from the wet shaving community. Know also that we will continually strive to maintain the artistic quality and performance standards you have come to expect of us.

As always, your thoughts are welcome.

Good morning, Everyone!

Nancy and I are delighted to announce two pieces of good news!

The first is that, over the next several weeks, we’ll be offering a number of new brushes in our website’s ReadyMade section.

Where will these brushes come from?

Some of you might remember that last fall we had a large number of brush handles “go walkabout.” That event set us back several months while we completely re-made those handles, dealt with resulting material shortages, and other bits of consequential “entertainment. (Naturally, the originals showed up just after we’d shipped the last of the replacement handles to Lee.) Fortunately, we’ve been able to use many of the returned handles to fill new orders, but still have a fair number remaining; so we’ve decided to fill some with our new 2-band Silvertip knots and, as it makes sense, to ask Lee to fill the rest.

We’re planning to do this gradually simply because we don’t want to interfere with normal brush orders; so we’ll be listing and advertising the new ReadyMade brushes as they become available.

In further news, our supplier just offered us a batch of “short cut rods”—first quality cast polyester rods in different sizes, lengths and colors—that they’re clearing out to make room for new stock. Included in this shipment are several colors/patterns we’ve not offered before, and may not again.

As with the ReadyMade brushes, we’ll be announcing what’s available as soon as we can without interfering with normal production.

Know that we greatly appreciate your support, and wish everyone a great day!

Best regards,
Nancy and Brad

My good news: More options for my next purchase (hopefully fairly soon)
My bad news: More decisions for my next purchase (hopefully fairly soon)
My really bad news: I still want one of each

I feel your pain. I have a few of Brad's brushes and several more ordered. And I still would like a few more.

I'm sure Brad just hates getting compliments and free advertisement courtesy of an enthusiastic customer. Nice looking brushes by the way.
