There are a bunch of pen aficionados here. If any one lives near Boston there will be another Boston Pen Show on Sunday Sept 20th from 9 to 5 at the Holiday Inn in Somerville.

Info can be found at their website  http://commonwealthpenshow.richardspens.com/index.html

ML and I will be there.

ML and I enjoyed the show today. There seemed to be a lot more people in attendance than last year. Good.

We arrived before the doors opened and were 10th and 11th in line. Same as last year I believe.

The vendors were all in a single room. This is from the doorway.

This is ML in line at the Noodler's Ink Table. Nathan Tardiff and possibly his wife were manning the table. It was easily the most popular table at the show. ML picked up an acrylic Konrad and a bottle of ink.

Final thoughts on the show. Again this year it was all vintage pens. No vendors of new pens. Bromfield Pens, a Boston pen store, was on the exhibitors list but they did not show. A pity. We had fun looking, testing and shopping.

On to the good stuff - our haul. Clockwise from upper left: A Franklin Covey fountain, Noodler's King Philip ink, a leather 24 place pen carrier, Crane envelopes, Crane paper, Konrad flex-nib fountain pen, fre eyedropper pen that came with the ink, Stratham parchment.

The free pen and the Konrad. ML has and likes  a blue Konrad. She loved this purple version so we got it.

The Franklin Covey. This is a smallish pen and fits ML's hand perfectly. It writes like a dream. We were both surprised at how nice it writes.

A sample of the King Philip ink. ML purchased this ink for me as it is my name and spelled the proper way - with one "L" Smile

All in all a great show and trip.

I have had the good fortune to get to the Philadelphia show once and the Los Angeles show about four times. I always enjoy them.
