I love the performance of my Weck Surgical Prep Razor. Such a simple design with an extra wide head that always provides amazing shaves - it's definitely in my top 5 razors easily. I was using the Personna Hair Shaper blades with this razor (as I thought this was really the only option for this razor), but opted to try the Diane Shaper blades on a whim. Now to me the Personna Hair Shapers are a solid 8 out of 10 in smoothness, sharpness, longevity and value. I have never had a bad shave with the Personna Hair Shapers. That being said, the Diane blades are a 10 out of 10 hands down. They provide everything the Personna Hair Shaper bladed provide while being so much smoother at a better price point (value!).

I'm curious on any insight from anyone else who has tried both these blades in the Weck. I'd also be real interested in any other blade options that might be out there for the Weck razor.

I personally prefer the Diane Shaper blades over the Personna

I always look for one of these razors from time to time and can never find one. It's one of those SEs on my "must try" list.

It took me about 2 years of searching before I found one. I've been searching for an Olaf Rasmussen Surgical Prep razor for about the same amount of time. There's just something about these surgical prep instruments. They were designed for function, so they don't have much in looks, but they more than make up for it in performance.

Hope you find one.

Thanks merelymoe. It seems that the straight razor versions are plentiful. I've even found those at antique stores. The safety razor version, not so much.
