Blade Pairing in Carbon Razor Models

I have the standard plate. I like to use Personna labs with mine, but I use them in every razor.

Zac, I find Polsilver /Wizamet work perfectly in the Carbon, both 316L and Ti versions with the standard head. Pretty much my go to blades as they work in everything, for me.

Based on the standard plates a lot of my customers have enjoyed the Gillette Nacet(feels milder) and the Kai blades. We use Astra for all our testing...

Other ones mentioned by my customers are:
Bic Chrome Platinum
Gillette Silver Blue

I would defer to ShaveMD's suggestions on the ++ plates...thanks for sharing those.

I think after a lot of deliberation I will try the standard gap this week with a Kai blade. I won't go into details but I have a few reasons I will try this first. Initially that seemed to seem like it may be too much, I think it will be a good first choice. If it ends up being too sharp or harsh, I think a smart backup or 2nd and third test blades would be Wizamet (the brownish color cover) and then a Pol Silver Super Iridium.

I'm sure my second shave will be with the ++ plate later next week. Thank you all for your suggestions everyone. I will share the shave on video, or at least I plan to and will see if it helps anyone. Cheers you guys

Really enjoyed the shaves with both the 0.68 and 1.08 base plates . I started with the Kai blade and was very satisfied with both the level of sharpness and smoothness. I got quite a few great shaves out that blade as well. I also had one shave using an old and used Wizamet that gave me some razor burn for a bit but the Carbon still made it a great shave! I have more Wizamets to tests coming in soon but will test those later this month. I most recently used a Pol Silver Super Iridium and enjoyed the results. Maybe not a close cutting as a Kai blade but still plenty smooth. Next to use will be a red pack Israeli Personna Platinum Chrome. I also want to try out the Gillette Silver Blue sometime in the future as well as those weren't a blade I loved in the past. I also snagged a couple packs of Perma Sharp to try down the line.

Really loving the Carbon!
