The new SE (1/2 DE) will be released end of January. I think the formal name is "Square" .  The head is at the top and there is a button underneath when pressed the top plate comes off. The blade is held by a magnet. To shave well you will figure it out. Shane has been shaving with the Square and used it this morning. It is made out of aluminum so I guess this won't be too expensive.

Appears to me it would be sort of like holding an electric razor.

Thanks for posting! Formal name is Batch 002, but we have all sorts of nicknames for it.

That’s called box thinking. It’s neither inside nor outside of the box.  Big Grin

Looks cool to me. I bet I'd like it and it would be ergonomic to me. It has been a long time since a head shave. How tight is the clamping on the blade?

It’s surprisingly comfortable and versatile for different grips. Clamping is solid. We’ve been testing for a few weeks and magnets seem sufficient since the blade is not bent.

I saw one of the videos for this and wondered what the end design would be!
