Now here's a thought from out of left field:  How much slicker and sleeker it would be in Schick format - not to mention lighter.

Just sayin ...

It would be easy to make this in an injector blade format, but I think razors that use injector blades without utilizing the injector mechanism miss the mark. The injector mechanism is far and away the coolest part of that razor platform. I have a design for that, too.

As you may know, your Sabre hit the Grand Slam with me, so I can't help but be very interested in any new design you have - both this one and a possible injector.  I have a different view about whether razors using injector blades without the injector mechanism miss the mark, but I think that is discussion for another time and place.  So for now ... best of luck with this project!

I didn’t mean to come off as disparaging to razors that don’t use the mechanism. I just think the injector part of the razor is awesome and to not utilize that seems like a shame. Of course, I could always change my mind! Smile

No worries from me Shane.  I think it is funny because I - who know nothing about metallurgy or anything else about making or selling razors -  did not want to sound like someone trying to tell you your business.

By the end of September on the conservative side and hopefully in August if things go our way.

That's great news, i hope it comes sooner than later, but good things take time. How would you rate it's aggressiveness compared to the Sabre, Blackbird, Dart for example if you are willing to reveal this information at this time?

I'm waiting for the slant myself. Me and AC style blades just don't get along.

It looks fantastic and I'm also inclined to give my money now to reserve one if it was possible. Experience though has taught me to wait for reviews because no matter how good it looks or well balanced it is, irrespective of materials used, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. So far I have been lucky with my unseen and untested purchases, save for the ATT G1 which for me is inefficient, although brilliantly made. The Sabre is a fantastic razor and Shane knows what he is doing and also has a lot of experience in doing it. I'm confident that this SE will be a hit and I hope there are tester reviews and most importantly comparisons with other SE's to get a feel for it soon. I thought my RAD was cured, but as soon as I saw this new SE it came rushing back with a vengeance. I live in Europe but I have already arranged with a friend in the U.S to receive it and send it to me as a gift.
As if, I need another SE. I have most of the modern ones and a collection of vintage to top it off.
