If know the thread which provides information about different available Gem blades, can you post the link?

If there is no such post, post 2 lines about each blade do buyers of Sabre will know here options

Btw, what blades did you use for testing Sabre?

Yeah, what EFDan said. There is only one GEM blade worth using and that's the PTFE coated stainless steel ones. The rest are good for scraping paint and stuff though.

Gem Blue Stars are great shaving blades (used one this morning). Don't last as long as the PTFE, but deliver a better shave for me. I shave my head which demands a different blade profile than others may require but they work better for my needs. I keep them with a dessicate packet with no rust problems ever.

Definitely YMMV.

Exactly. Which is why "don't bother to try" something isn't helpful. There is an established crew of carbon afficianados with different experience than y'all.

I use the PTFE blades which is why they will ship with the Sabre. The carbon blades also give me a good shave, but not any better than the PTFE. When you add in the rust issues with the carbon blades, PTFE blades are the winners for me.

There are only a handful of GEM blade options so I'd recommend buying a few five packs and trying them out. I recommend at least trying one carbon blade in addition to the blades that ship with the Sabre.

It ships with three PTFE-coated stainless steel  Personna GEM blades. These last 5-10+ shaves so you should be set for at least a couple weeks before you'll need to get some more. There are only a handful of GEM blade options so you might consider grabbing a few different 5 packs to compare with the coated stainless blades.

5-10? I've gone 25 before ditching one and probably could've kept going. Got bored though...

Big Grin I was being conservative. 25 is impressive! I go around a dozen. But I'm not great about counting so I just wind up tossing them after a couple weeks.

Wow, now this is one gorgeous piece of kit. Amazing feel in the hand. I can already tell that the Sabre will feel like an extension of my own hand while shaving. Tomorrow morning can't come soon enough.

Superb craftsmanship Shane (Blackland Razors)!
