No need for permission. The AC SE is slated to start production after the Dart is complete. A summer release looks likely.

Then the slant after that?

Correct.

But this thread is about the Dart. And I couldn’t be more proud or excited for this razor. Smile

Excellent work, Shane!

Put me down for two, and I'm happy to prepay... Really!

I appreciate that! I’d like to avoid pre-orders if possible and I’m also hoping to avoid selling out immediately so everyone who wants one can get a Dart. I think we’ll have plenty. Smile

I had lunch on Friday with Shane Blackland Razors. He was kind enough to lend me a Dart razor. First shave done today with a GSB blade. This razor is much more aggressive than the Paradigm 17-4. It has different type of smoothness. it has a light feel that's hard to describe just yet. I have not tried the Blackbird SB, but I have the OC version which I find harsh. The Dart has the efficiency of the OC but far smoother and much easier to control. My reference and only two razors I use are the 17-4 and the Saber. It's hard to beleive how compact the head is, it's nimble super efficient razor. I'll use it tomorrow with an Astra blade and will report back.

That is good to hear. I guess that’s another I’ll have to get my hands on from Blacklands.

I forgot to mention my other razor which I don't use because it's my most precious shaving object: The prototype Paradigm SE!

There is no razor I have come across that compares to the uniqueness, smoothness and efficiency of the Paradigm SE. But let's see what Shane comes up with when he releases the Blackland SE Smile

Man, exciting times for DE and SE shaving. I can’t wait to get my hands on both. Especially the Dart at the $~100 price point.

Is there any comparison between the 17-4 and the Paradigm SE? I’m just trying to get some idea of how the SE shaves.

You can't beat the price point on a quality razor from Shane. I hope he has a bunch of these in the queue to be made.

Really exciting times for sure!

If I had to pick between the two, I would pick the SE. For me, the closest razor to the Paradigm SE is the Sabre L2 after the firs 2-3 shaves with a GEM blade.

I was going to pick up a blackbird SB but I might just wait and buy one of these since it's cheaper.

does anyone know how well this does for us with coarse & dense facial hair? my go to razors at the moment are an ikon tech & a muhle r41.
