I’m not in this category btw, I’m buying a Dart no matter what!

I’ve decided not to do a pass around at this time. The reason is that we already allow customers to use the razor for 30 days before deciding whether to return it.

That’s a good point, I understand.

I look forward to hearing more from the community and giving my report once I get my hands on one!

I love my polished Sabre L2 and Blackbird. I'm also in as I'm sure it will be another success.

Shane, I cannot wait for this one!! I have been an early adopter of all of your releases and you have never disappointed me! I know that I have been bugging you to see the handle but I’m sure it will be a very unique and beautiful design! Can’t WAIT!!

I am very interested in this razor, efficient and smooth are my favorite words. Lol
Are the blade tabs covered in this razor? Not a deal breaker but I’m curious about it?

I’m going to add my review to the good drs thread if that’s ok???

SOTD

prorasso Red preshave
Elite 26mm 2 band Manchurian
Grooming Dept Kulfi
Blackland DART w/ Astra SP
CL YRP AS Splash

So the focus of this shave was this new razor, and in addition to general thoughts, was to compare it to the flagship DE, the Blackbird.

First off, apparently I am in the minority when I will say, without a doubt that the blackbird is the smoother shaver for me. Like I mentioned the blackbird, if it’s not #1 in my den, it’s #1a. I find it remarkably efficient without being harsh. A wonderfully designed razor with fantastic auditory feedback.

The dart shares the efficiency, and maybe even then some, but lacks the same smoothness that I get with the blackbird. I tried a couple different blades in the dart and a change in blades made all the difference in the world. My first was my go-to, a pol silver. This made for a bit of a harsh shave for me. After a couple attempts I switched to the Astra SP and it was like night and day. The shave this morning was wonderful. 2 passes of smooth efficiency with a lovely end result.

The razor is not overly finicky as far as angle, but certainly has a sweet spot to me. All in all this razor is a FANTASTIC razor, especially at this price point. If you found the game changer too mild, or prefer more aggressive shavers, this is a no brainer. Thanks again to Shane for getting me a longer look at this razor. Nice work!

Great reviews so far! Looking forward to this razor and I like the fact it’s not too mild like the Game Changer. That razor was a huge disappointment for me as I like more aggressive razors. I thought the GC was supposed to be the opposite of the new Mamba and I found the Shave about equal. My current #1 DE is the Karve with an F plate so this one sounds like it could be very close to that smoothness and efficiency from the few reviews I have read. Looking forward to it. By the way, my Blackbird OC is still in my top 5 DE razors.

I agree with you big time the game changer was a big disappointment. Karve is exceptional D E F plates. F is my preference as well.
