Blackland announces new Tradere Razors

I got a very smooth 2 pass shave WTG, ATG using the WR2 1.45 and the Tradere OC. My results were as described above. My experience with the WR2 1.45 is not near other members but I have been getting consistently smooth 2 pass shaves with it. I was not getting this kind of consistency with the WR2 1.15. I also agree with Loot that the 1.45 is more efficient than my .94 WR1

Working on this. It’s tricky and may or may not roll out with the Tradere at launch, but I’ll probably have a stand for them at some point.

No that’s not me with the 1.45. I have a 1.35 WR2 and
I suppose if I had just one days growth I could gat a very close shave in a single pass but I haven’t tried it so not sure if I’d achieve a BBS on 100% of my face and neck. 1 and a half or two passes and I can guarantee a BBS .

Thanks for the reply guys really insightful! And yeah definitely looking for a good one pass shaver for days when I am in a rush / lazy. Use to use my OneBlade for that but never really happy with the closeness of the shave.

Great for in a rush but not great in terms of efficiency. My 1.15 WR2 / Sleath Slant are great for closer shaves but still requires too many passes.

Perhaps a quarter hollow handle, just at the end and a SS studded stand so as not to obstruct the lines and beauty of the Tradere belled end handle. Just a thought.

Yesterdays shave test of the Tradere 1st gen OC, and the WR2 DC had me curious as to how the Tradere 2nd gen SB would perform. So I used a Gillette Silver Blue that had its first shave yesterday, some MDC Rose, and the usual hot water/soap face/neck wash. 

Some folks had characterized the 2nd gen SB as "mild" and I didn't remember it that way. Been quite awhile since I shaved with it, and I know I liked it. For the record, I am not a fan of mild razors. I tried so hard to like the Feather SD-2 but after a half dozen shaves I sold the lovely thing. 

So... I wouldn't call the 2nd gen Tradere mild in the same way the aforementioned Feather razor is mild. I wouldn't say it is aggressive either. At least not like its 1st gen OC cousin. I can say that the gen 2 SB is extremely efficient, and smooth. There is blade feel, audible feedback, but I'd have to try hard to get irritation. It wasn't 'aggressive' like a Muhle R-41, but it wasn't mild like a Feather AS-D2. 

Two passes and I was BBS. My usual WTG and ATG. I need to try the two Traderes with a Feather blade and see if that doesn't change the shaving experience for me, presumably to a more aggressive feeling shave. Stay tuned.

JimmyH I appreciate your experience with the SB. I wasn’t sure if It would work for me as I also don’t care for many mild razors but this sounds promising. I look forward to hearing your thoughts comparing the OC and the SB

Very small chance. I don’t really do pass arounds anyway and this is a razor that has existed for seven years.
