It's sharp and it cuts. I like it...
Northeast, USA
The Osprey Ti delivered and then some. Just about perfect in weight & balance with excellent feedback during both passes. Went with setting #5 then to #4 for the final pass. Titanium for me has always been the optimal alloy for face feel & comfort and the Osprey Ti is no exception in this regard. It just feels right in the hands and even better on my face. Shave wise not a single complaint. The stainless is great but, the Ti just takes it to another level of shave nirvana. The Ethos shave stick is a real nice alternative for a quick shave when time is of the essence. A couple quick passes on the face and let the brush do its work making some gorgeous face suds. And lastly, get yourselves some Schick de blades Gents, these things deliver both smoothness and sharpness. Not Feather or Top tier Gillettes but, it’s close enough. Price & availability is the only caveat but, it’s worth it to me.

Great shaves to all…

A great razor. Just make sure if you are sensitive to any kind of "dragging" sensations you cop the polished version. Similar to the overlander it tends to skip on the skin in the machined finish for me. But the clamping is second to none

The SS Osprey was delivered today and I was on two days of growth, so I was at the sink within thirty minutes of getting home.
Did the first pass at just under 7 on the setting dial (probably 6.85), which was comfortable and very efficient. Very easy to get the correct angle.
Second pass and third/clean-up pass were at 5. Again, easy and effective. No weepers. No irritation. Very smooth skin. Looking forward to putting it through its paces! Also curious to see how it behaves after removing the brass insert.

Second shave with the SS Osprey.

Cranked it up so the dial was set right on the 9.

That must have been the best first pass I've ever had. Just wiped the stubble away. So comfortable. No curious strokes. Absolutely NO blade chatter whatsoever. Noticeable even to me, who uses a Blackbird all the time.

Second pass, I kept it on 9. Still excellent, but I'll tone it down for my next second pass (9 wasn't necessary for the second pass, and I did have a little fear about it, but honestly no issues).

Face is smooth as a billiard ball. (Smoother than after the Blackbird, in titanium or stainless.)

So far it has far exceeded my expectations.

Sounds like a fine excuse for a tax-deductible vacation work trip!
