I was thinking along similar lines. Galvanic corrosion? I’ve seen corrosion on a Henson razor that had stainless steel, titanium and brass in contact - I think it was a stainless threaded stud on a titanium top cap that threaded into a brass threaded insert in a titanium handle.  I’m not sure about the stud but the reason for the insert was that Ti on Ti threads are harsh.

Btw, I want the Osprey Smile. For a friend...

My first question is: what material would the insert be made of?

Had I not just -- last week -- bought a Vector Ti, I'd probably be sorely tempted to have leaped here but I'll exhibit amazing restraint and watch the rest of you try the Osprey while I'll comfortably (and that's truly the operative word) enjoy my Vector!

Awesome. If you experiment with one with blacked out numbers, I'll take that one. Smile help some old eyes out.

Looking forward to trying it out, with glasses, or without.

I plan on coloring in the dial myself like I did with my taiga. Takes an hour or two mostly waiting. Just need Testors enamel paint, and Acetone free nail polish remover.

1- clean all the parts with soap and let them dry.
2- liberally apply  paint and let it dry 1 hour.
3- After 1 hour wipe off the excess with a rag and a tiny bit of acetone free remover. If you're buffing lightly you  only Remove paint from the outer surface and maintain the grooved areas.

I guess my Christmas present comes early this year! After watching the development of this razor over the past several months, I couldn’t not buy one.

We've been testing this and I hope to offer it at some point. It's proven tough to do consistently and reasonably quickly at scale. But it's definitely a solvable problem so we'll probably circle back when we can give the attention it deserves.

I ordered one and the stand about 1 second after it went up for sale yesterday! Then I promptly sent a text to LOOT to make sure he knew to get it in! When I get it, I will do my first shave with it all the way opened to the 9 settings. Game on!! The adjustable razor is the game over on the DE side of razors for me so I own just about every adjustable on the market. Can’t WAIT to get this one in hand. Definitely want it in titanium when that one comes along. I love the idea of making the numbers on the dial stand out with some color. I also think it’s very cool to be able to change the handle if you want to try something different on it.
Ok, now we wait patiently for these to ship!
