Some of you may have realized we've done "dupes" so far in the relaunch of BTRC. What scent suggestions do you guys have for the next ones?
So far we have AOS sandalwood, Aventus, Drakkar Noir.

I have one that most fellas recognize or may even still have. YSL discontinued Rive Gauche 3 years ago. That was a classic inexpensive barbershop - 'Barbasol' scent. It was not expensive, but it sure is now as the vintage cans are now near 300 bux. There are no homages or the in edt or edp that are worthy. There is a note in the mix that may be hard to pindown.

Rive Gauche pour Homme was launched in 2003. The nose behind this fragrance is Jacques Cavallier. Top notes are Star Anise, Rosemary and Bergamot; middle notes are Lavender, Geranium, Cloves and Coumarin; base notes are Patchouli, Oakmoss, Guaiac Wood and Vetiver.

I am in Dom.

Dom, sorry. Thought of another. I think this is another no-brainer. 4711, the oldest commercial fragrance I believe - fir a reason. It is a masterpiece. All year long it is an uplifting scent. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino, Mugler Cologne, Frédéric Malle Cologne Indelible, etc. have paid homage to this. But the wet shaving works has no soap, or decent AFS,/balm that converges. Gingers Garden tried [not good], PAA had one....that is it all to my knowledge. The key IMHO is getting the petitgrain right as most attempts are bumbled florals.

I have an 800ml container almost extinguished - and it is my second in 3 years. Lol. Arlington by DRH is a solid cousin with a quality full set of products, but very expensive. I almost finished an AFS of in 6 weeks - 55 bux! for 1 bottle.

I am hopeful the gents on this blog also have some demand for this. That TF Neroli Portofino is my most used EDP - but it's woefully expensive with terrible performance.

A worthy and good biz opp on this -

I would love to see someone do a Jovan Grass Oil dupe. I have a very little of that juice left with no way to replace it.

I am quite fond of the Barbershop scent as defined by Maggards London Barbershop and Zingari Man The Wanderer. They list scent notes as Bergamont, Basil Leaf, Patchouli, and Oakmoss.

Have you tried Quartet? We believe we have a very solid Barbershop in the Sir Henry’s line.

I'd love to see an homage to Bvlgari Man in Black or Bvlgari Man in Black Orient.  I love them both.  Between the two, I personally give the nod to Orient, but Orient is currently much harder to find.  They are both very masculine scents.  Man Black is mainly spice - rum  - leather, and Man Black Orient is mainly leather - oud - rum.
