How is simply mentioning that the razor is marketed to black men "touchy racial subject" territory? I don't get it.

Only that a well intentioned reviewer that may be uncomfortable saying as much, so as he chose his words carefully, he stammered. I think I would rather stammer than say something insensitive. Or even something that could be construed as insensitive.

How is the blade exposure in the Bevel? I would expect it to have very little since too much blade exposure will cut closer to the skin and increase the chance of ingrowns/razor bumps, which is an issue for African American men.

Hehe, then let's not mention drunk drivers when speaking about drunk driving. Silly right? Same here. If one is going to issue a review about a product, one have to be 100% honest on the review.

Another example that solidifies my opinion about reviews. They are entertaining, but that's as far as I go with them.

So I bought one of these just for kicks. Here are my impressions

1. I won't be using this much and will probably set it on the shelf and give it to a non wet shaving friend at Christmas in hopes of converting another non wet shaver to this "hobby", nothing like "re-gifting" ala Sienfeld. This is a mild razor. There are many GREAT mild razors out there that just don't work for me and my facial hair. It's thick, fast growing, and dark. Mild Razors just don't perform for me. This one is mild in nature. If I had to rank it in terms of aggression, I would say it falls BARELY above an old Gillette Tech.

That aside, this is a wonderful razor especially for the price of 50.00. It looks great, feels good in the hand and there isn't "blade play" that causes copious amounts of adjusting to get even blade exposure. The fact this is in a major chain like Target at this price point, is very encouraging to me. This is a quality razor. It's not an entry level Vanderhagen sold at Walmart that was made cheaply. I would argue that for a majority of people out there with "normal" facial hair this would be not only an excellent first razor, but one they would use and keep for years.

There are a lot of quality razors at the 30-50 price point and hopefully more show up in the future in big box stores. That can only be good for wet shaving. I'm really impressed with the look and design of this razor, I just wish the darn thing was more aggressive.

I've been interested in trying this razor myself since my lower neck is very prone to getting ingrown hairs...I'm not interested in anything except for the razor though.

I've read that it's very mild and efficient.
