So far, I’ve only used Tobac and I just ordered Cannonball shaving cream from a recommendation off the forum. I’ve noticed there are several scents and feels to shaving cream and I’d like to explore as much as possible without breaking the bank.

However, I do not like using samples as I never seem to develop as good a lather from a sample as I do from a full tub. I do a lot of soap evaluations. To insure accuracy, I always want to use full tubs for evaluations. Not to mention that samples are for people with commitment issues.

Ok, enough jocularity It’s true that samples can give you a preview of a soaps performance and smell but you should follow through and buy the full size of the ones you like. If you talk to any soap makers, samples are royal pain in the A.. that’s why most of them push it on to vendors like Maggards. Filling those tiny containers? Seriously uneconomic as well as no fun at all. So don't be that guy with a shave den stocked with samples-do your part. Buy full size version of the good ones.
