BBS1 razor advice

I have owned a BBS-1 for years, and it’s one of my very favorite Razors. I don’t find that it has a small sweet spot, I find it very intuitive in use and have no issues finding the correct angle. Although the BBS-1 only has a 1.0 blade gap, I find its efficiency on par with a WR2 1.35. I always use a fresh Feather blade for my BBS-1 shaves. Feather is the blade the BBS-1 was designed with in mind, and I always get great results. Congrats on adding one to your Den, this is the OG of modern high end safety razors.

My advice is to sell the BBS-1.

After reading this thread I dusted off the old BBS-1. Been using a Ti WR2 1.65 almost exclusively as of late and while the BBS-1 is noticeably less efficient, it still achieved the same result albeit with a bit more work. Still, it’s truly a joy to use and a complete cruise control shaver that I’m grateful to own.

Been using a Ti WR2 1.65 almost exclusively as of late and while the BBS-1 is noticeably less efficient, it still achieved the same result albeit with a bit more work. Still, it’s truly a joy to use and a complete cruise control shaver that I’m grateful to own.

I hope you’re able to acquire one if it’s something you’d really like. In the mean time, absolutely get a WR2 if you don’t already have one and want a similar shaving experience.

I think I've had 4 of them. 2 at one time even. I love the looks but struggled with the shave. The head is light and makes it handle heavy. I've sold every one I've had. I get why guys like them, it really is a piece of shaving history. A damned handsome one too.

Already have a Wr2 1.35/1.55 and I love it
