What is a good bay rum aftershave that doesn’t have any clove? I love the scent, but wife not to fond of the clove.

Paa atomic age, dominican, grand bay and (believe it or not) henry gilbert

Oh yeah, derby chop shop is outstanding replacing rum with bourbon.

Gilbert is truly outstanding, has legs and among best pure bay rums ever. Was gifted - would never have tried it otherwise. Truly great!

How did I miss this Thread!?  I agree with all of DanLaw 's suggestions.  I'd also throw in Krampert's Finest, Catie's Bubbles Barnegat Bay, TOBS, DR Harris, St. John's, PAA's Pineapple Bay Rum and Coconut Bay and Lime, THB Bay Whiskey Lime, Chiselled Face Bay Rum (I think its clove free).  I'm probably missing a few that I'll remember later.

I haven't tried Henry Gilbert - I think its only available in USA and it doesn't ship to Canada.  I'd like to try it.

I haven't tried derby's chop shop winter reserve yet but it's on the list....I'll have to eventually check out gilbert too.

I said I'd forget some - I opened my cabinet this morning and there staring at me was Captain's Choice, one of my favourite Bay Rums.  Stirling makes a nice one too.  I don't think either of those have clove in them but what do I know.  My nose doesn't seem to work like most people's .  I know that Ogallala has clove but after that I'm not sure.  Maybe someone has made a list of with/without

I endorse the PAA bay rum recommendations. The owner of PAA seems to be morally opposed to the concept of clove in his bay rums. I don't believe any of his bay rums include clove.

I love Derby City but, to my nose, I can't detect a bay fragrance. To me, it's a strong vanilla scent. For what it's worth.
