WM Neumann's makes a really nice smelling aftershave as well.

DR Harris does, indeed -- used my sample (from Maggard's) of it today.  Going to get a full bottle but I guess I have to try the St Johns and WM Neumann's, also, now.

I love the T+S labels. I haven't sniffed Indian Bay but West Indies didn't do it for me, personally.

Maybe because there are enough people (myself among them) who really dislike bay rum as a scent to make it not worthwhile.

Yet there it is. After a few hundred years it still persists in men’s grooming. No doubt it’s polarizing, you don’t hear many people saying how much they hate fougere or that mysterious and ubiquitous barbershop scent and it’s not because they’re universally loved. It’s because they generally take no risks. They’re often the “meh” of the shaving world. Smell nice enough but they’ll have faded away  in an hour or so so who really cares.

I’m not sure if it’s still the case but a few years ago Will Carius of B&M told me that Bay Rum was his #1 seller. Every major soap maker has a bay rum in their lineup. You see, with bay rum you know unequivocally that you’re dealing with a masculine scent. It’s the same issue that surrounds Tabac, a lot of guys just can’t handle that much masculinity. Smile

Lol, too much masculinity…..

Tabac is love or hate.  For me it’s a spicy warm leathery powdery neroli vanilla scent with a splash of Chanel #5. That’s not a negative. Every man should own a tub of this.  The lather is madness, top 10 lathering category.  I can make butter from this.

2021 was a Bay Rum Year for me. Dominic has the best of the best imo. It’s a year rounder for me

andrewjs18 GF Trumper has a bay rum too. Just in cologne though and it’s expensive like DR Harris. It’s nice but no spice. Royall Lyme does one too, Royall Bay Rhum. It might be the raunchiest bay rum out there, at least of those I’ve sampled. I really like it. I wonder if there’s something wrong with me  Confused2

I recently sniffed bricktown grooming no quarter (bay rum) aftershave...it didn't do it for me.  it had a twinge to it that I've smelled in other bay rums that I wasn't a fan of but I'm not exactly sure what that scent note is.

I also tried MacDuffs prairie rum runner aftershave.  while not a straight bay rum, it smells pretty damn good to me and has impressive staying power, thus far.  I'm still dealing with a sinus cold so my sense of smell isn't 100%, but here I am almost 4 hours after applying the aftershave and can clearly still smell it and my face is soft & supple - I can tell a product was applied on my lower neck when I touch it.

Marko, you'll probably like the latter stuff mentioned above....and it's a Canadian company!
