Absolutely! I appreciate your continuous efforts in product development and I know that with you the wait is worth it!

Review of Barrister's Reserve - Cool!

I tried some as well - it's good stuff.

BoarderPhreak thanks for your reviews of the soon to be released Barrister's Reserve aftershaves. I appreciate your thorough and thoughtful approach to the review process. I was already really looking forward to the release of these products but your reviews have only served to intensify my existing sense of anticipation. I've always liked Floid Blue and have about 95% of a bottle on hand but I haven't been using it all that much lately because, despite the wonderful smell, it doesn't stand up performance wise to some of the truly excellent artisan post shave products currently on offer. Clearly with Cool, that will change.
Thanks,
Marko

Wow, thanks so much! And you're quite welcome. Glad they're of help to folks. Of course, B&M needs no introduction to those in the know... But this is a major development and one I know Will has been working so very hard on. It very much shows, and I think everyone is going to be thrilled with Barrister's Reserve.

In a little while I should have the last of the three reviews up, of Classic - where I broke the methodical approach I've been employing and decided on a torture test. Big Grin

I believe you are the only reviewer I have ever seen actually seek out a "bad" shave in order to see how a product performs in truly difficult circumstances. I'm sure many aftershaves will feel great after a perfect, BBS shave but the real test will be how it performs after, as you put it, a torture test shaveSmile. Thank you for taking one for the team.

BoarderPhreak I agree with Marko . Great and comprehensive review(s). PM me your address: I believe I have some Dorco blades tucked away from over a decade ago that you may be able to apply in your evaluation Smile

Keep up the great work!

Keep up the great work!

Thanks again, gentlemen! Much appreciated. I totally agree; most anything feels good with a great shave, but the real test is how it works when it's not so great... Especially if it's touted to have all those face-saving effects and features.

I'll definitely take a pass on the Dorco blades though. :p

Well - it does not disappoint - here are the results!

I was actually rather hoping he would. Barrister's Reserve was designed base first, fragrance second, and went through somewhere between 80 and 100 formula revisions before I felt that the aim of the project had been accomplished. Then it went through a dozen or so more in response to feedback we received from the beta, which proved to be incredibly valuable. I wanted an aftershave that could simply wipe away irritation; after a lot of trial, tribulation, and frustration, I finally got my wish. Big Grin
