Yeah, it didn't really sell that well after awhile. I think it had a lot to do with the cost; sandalwood oil drove up the price and there were other vetiver soaps that were much cheaper, so people just couldn't justify it if they didn't really LOVE it. Unfortunately, there were not enough folks who loved it to keep it moving. I was sad to discontinue it, though. Undecided

I could see that it would be sad letting something go like that. I guess I need to try and track down some of it now. Suppose I could just buy up Maggards samples and make myself a tub of it.  Cool

Ordered some Rhapsody and Le Petit Chypre from you this weekend. Looking forward to trying those out too.

Any plans for a vetiver based soap since Vetyvr Santal has been "officially" discontinued?

Posting Freak
Nobody has mentioned B&M Anise & Vetiver in their laments for departed vetiver soaps - I assume it discontinued or was limited to begin with. Its super with a strong anise punch and vetiver undertones.

BTW Barrister_N_Mann , Men Essentials fixed their Rhapsody "white label" reference.

I had a tub of the Anise & Vetiver but traded it because I didn't care for the strong Anise smell.

No, the only vetiver fragrance we will produce this year will be Hallows. Otherwise, they don't seem to sell well for us.

Partly prompted by this discussion, I went back to Seville this morning (hey, it's starting to feel spring-like here), and fell for it all over again. Wonderful fresh-but-warm scent, and even better extending it with the Kyovu splash. (I feel like Ferox is sort of a sibling scent, by the way, with its grapefruit and herbs accord, though I still prefer Seville.) The only wrinkle is the sticky, tacky feel the Kyovu gives me in the first hour, but it sounds like Will is addressing that in a new formulation. Meantime I love having a small cloud of Seville around me in the morning.

By the way, apart from Kyovu or a future Seville Tonique, any particularly good fragrance pairings with Seville? I realize some sort of Eau de Cologne is the idea, but I'm curious whether one is particularly good.

"Holidays" as in Q4 2016?

I'm a fan of Eau des Minimes, myself. Smile
