Will, thank you for sharing your thoughts and thank you the obvious dedication you bring to your art.  I find it interesting that Rhapsody has inspiration from NYC and Gershwin, being a big Gershwin fan.  My next shave with Rhapsody will evoke different images.  I wasn't aware of the issues with the kyovu - where I live its generally cold and dry so a lot of things stay preserved fairly well that might not fare as well in warmer, moister climates.  I'll be looking forward to the new formulation but I think I might stockpile some of the existing stock just to be safe.  Have you ever tried The Holy Black's aftershave splash?  They call it whisker whisky and I think its alcohol free as it ships to Canada.  In any case they have something in there thats similar to kyovu that goes on nice and gives a soothing conditioning feel.  I appreciate you sharing what you can about the plans you have for your products, it helps with planning.  I hope things continue to go well for Barrister & Mann as I truly believe that you are among the very best and I'm excited to see what the future holds.

My pleasure! I've heard of Whisker Whisky, but won't speak on its performance because I haven't tried it. That said, I believe that it's made with actual whiskey, which could be a serious problem if they're shipping it into Canada with no special declarations.

Will, I have one other question - you've got me thinking now with your plans on reformulating kyovu. Do you have any plans around Wonderbalm? I love that stuff. I don't use it every day but when you need it you need it. I need to know if I have to stockpile!

The only thing I would change about Wonderbalm would possibly be the scent (which some people didn't like). That said, I have other products (that haven't been listed on the Release Schedule) that may catch your interest in the next month or so. Wink

Cool, I like the scent of Wonderbalm but its the performance thats the main attraction for me so, unless you scent it with lily of the valley, I'll be happy with whatever you do with it. I think its tough to please everybody. Some people like the spicy stuff others the traditional barbershop scents and so on. I checked the holy black and they do say they use real American "whisky" (should be "whiskey"), however I'm pretty sure there is no alcohol in the product. I don't want to start any problems for them though, because next the customs guys will be going after Bay Rum because it says Rum. That would seriously impair my bay rum obsession.

Wondarrrbalman for the femme fans?

BTW,. when you mention the two fougere's, are you referencing the two white labels, or the white labels and the black label?
Both will sorely be missed Sad

Wonderbalm contains alcohol?
Would love to try it, yet had no luck in obtaining it thus far.
Experimenting with different razors/blades currently, it would come in handy!
Sounds like quite a lot of interesting events are occurring in the near future your way, I look forward to the journey and hope you continue the line of direct debit from my income to pay off this addiction Wink

1) Actually, all three have been discontinued, but I was specifically referring to the two White Label soaps.

2) Nope, not a drop.

3) You might want to wait on the Wonderbalm; I have something else up for release in either late November or early December that would be a bit more appropriate, I think.

4) I'll accept your firstborn child and a pint of blood in lieu of payment. Wink

Now this sounds interesting.  Something new wonderbalm-wise coming in November....give us a hint?  With what you were saying about the kyovu I'm thinking there may be a merging of the two into a, well, a franken-balm if you will.  (cue sinister laugh).  And the price will be payable in blood!?

Hmm. A hint.

AHA!

Take from that what you will.
