I'm not sure why someone couldn't just sell the soap if it's not for them rather than bashing an artisan who never forced them to buy anything from their company to begin with.  for me, personally, I cannot stand the smell of oud...I don't bash people who like it and/or use it...I just moved on from it!

HWAT?! You can't stand the awesomesauce scent of Oud?!?! Well let me tell you something, Andrew.

That's perfectly fine.  Big Grin Lol

Every nose is different. I for one can't stand most aquatics, but this is one of the most popular cologne genre's out there.

With all the stuff I've been reading on Social Media, this is perhaps why I didn't jive well with it. The vilest, meanest and most disgusting vitriol that used to be, no one in their right mind would say is becoming acceptable.

I have FB and twitter for my needs like WolfWhisker announcements and such, but I don't enjoy the platform, it also confuses me.. lol.

I find oud to be quite repugnant.  I don't want to muddy up Will's thread too much though.  we can start a new thread if you'd like.  Smile

I'm not very adventurous with soaps so I'd have to go with:
Bay Rum
Seville
Cologne Russe

Lol no. I was just teasing, Andrew. It's all good Smile

This is truly a difficult task. The list is always fluctating depending on mood but the 3 I always want to be able to reach for are:

-LGC
-Hallows
-Beaudelaire

Mine would probably be:

1. Seville
2. Dickens
3. Adagio
4. First Snow
5. Cologne Russe

Don't get me started on the Latha because I love those too. Taiga probably my favorite of those, with LPC being a closes second.

I have not tried them all, but I'll go with Seville, Cheshire and Adagio.

After reading all the other favourite B&M scents I'm going to change my top 3 list. My #1 favourite B&M soap is the one I'm using at the time, all the rest occupy places #2 and #3 interchangeably.

Hows that for cheating? Big Grin

I used to say the same until I tried the genuine article, a beautiful oud from Southern China. Western ouds are mostly synthetic, harsh, and deeply, deeply unpleasant. Proper ouds, especially those made by the perfumers of Mumbai, are another thing entirely, as quite remarkable. Smile

Perhaps the greatest marriage of the two styles that I've ever encountered is a rather expensive perfume from the Netherlands called Puredistance Black. A pretty silly name (seriously, sounds like a running shoe), but a brilliant perfume. One of the greatest masculines in recent memory.
