I am going to use my sample tomorrow and I agree 100% with you regarding the scent. It is excellent and it reminds me of A&E Vanille de Tabac which is also superb. I deem it tub worthy as I already know the Excelsior base works like a dream and the only question for me re any B&M soap is the scent.   Happy2

I have had three glorious shaves with this "under the radar" gem. I don't understand why this one didn't get more "traction" in the market as IMO it's the best of their seasonals in a long time. Oh well.  Winking

I've just received (through the UK/Europe distributor) a set of "Big Leap" from the Soft Heart series. I really liked the scent out of the tub (originally described as "a smooth, classical blend of citrus, clary sage, geranium, ylang, jasmine, oakmoss, resins, frankincense, violet, sandalwood, vetiver, and stone fruits").

I also ordered my third Reserve aftershave (Fern), after Waves and Lavander: I noticed that the packaging has been restyled, it uses a new font :-)

I had another great shave with Ravish this morning. It’s awesome. I think it lathers more like the Softheart soaps than excelsior. Am I wrong?

I was reading a little online about Ravish and the Softheart series and as it turns out my impression that Ravish lathers more like Softherart than excelsior is appropriately based - Ravish is a hybrid excelsior falling between excelsior and softheart.  Whatever it is , I can say this, it smells beautifully and lathers incredibly so if you're sitting on the fence on this one you should get off, fence sitting is uncomfortable and can hurt your butt.  Also get Ravish.  Happy2

I'll have to re-trace my steps and get back to you.

Hmm, can't find it - I'll have to retract that statement.  I apologize for causing any concern.  I do however stand by my opinion that Ravish lathers/shaves differently that previous excelsior bases I have.  Maybe its the alignment of the moon?
