Will, am I asleep at the switch? What is this Passiflora? I was just at your website and here is this soap I've never heard of before and it looks amazing and its sold out. I don't recall seeing Passiflora on your release schedule, is this the soap release equivalent of a flash mob? Will there be more or is it a one time thing?

Yes, yes, all these suggestions for re-releases of soaps are excellent of course. But Will, please: Keep producing Seville, Leviathan, and 42, and I'll be a happy man. Of al the many, many soaps I have and have tried, these two are on a very short list of those I would take to a desert island if I only had to choose one soap!
All the best,

There's even a thread on the BST on Passiflora. How did I never hear of this? Yes, I had shoulder surgery a week and a half ago and yes, I've been on oxy most of that time but I wasn't totally senseless. How does this happen?

A soap whose release model was extremely controversial, Marko, leading to its liquidation earlier this evening. One of those B&M mistakes that will live in infamy.

Edit: As more of an explanation, Passiflora is a passionfruit fougère engineered as an exclusive soap for Peter Charkalis' Shaving Shop Club. When it was released on Monday, there was considerable anger and backlash from the community as a result of the "paywall" that surrounded it (the Club membership fee). Thus, I suggested to Peter that it be made publicly available as well in order to quell some of the furor, but this only made the problem worse. This afternoon, Peter and I decided to part ways, and the remaining stock of Passiflora was liquidated and sold out at remarkable speed.

Yeah, I was just catching up on the bst thread. Oh well, live and learn and move on. I was more concerned that I was losing my mindBig Grin

Big Grin Some would say that's somewhat of an overstatement, but yes, a few will feel that way.  I don't want to reconstitute the controversy, so please address this question at face value:  Did you personally like Passiflora?  Do you think you'll ever make it available again?

I do like it, yes, but I doubt it will ever be made available again. Its history would make it far too controversial.

And, honestly, the fact that such a minor occurrence has inspired such vitriol tells me that there will be those who will make a point of keeping it infamous. Big Grin

Two more are coming...  Lavender and Fern.  Originally scheduled for October, then November.  I think they're pushed back a bit more now.

Lavender and Fern are indeed on the docket, but have been delayed until next year while we work out some production problems. Getting this whole thing to run smoothly has proven to be quite a process, and we're not entirely there yet.

Will it ever be re-released?

Most definitely, THIS.

If you look earlier in this thread around the beginning of November when asked about potential re-release of Diamond Will said that it hadn't sold well but there has been clamouring for it recently so he may reconsider possible re-release.  I have a tub and like it, I even have the T-shirtBig Grin

I was just replying to add my support. You know, more clamoring Big Grin

Meh, easy to fix: Change the name and label and quietly release it a year from now. j/k.

Meanwhile, despite the fact that it's mid-November, it was warm and muggy last night. I broke out the Adagio. Very nice soap & tonique. I like this more and more each time I use it, and last night it was ideal.

Gotta agree, but I've also made this more or less a daily driver. It's the most consistent performer I have as well. Love it. I'd be in real trouble if Will ever decided to discontinue this one....
