Shoot a message to the folks at Italian Barber. Smile
Just dropped them an email and got a reply with 5mins.

Unfortunately, they do not ship to Singapore anymore. A depressing news to start the day. I'll have to try other method.

That's a pity. Perhaps The Stray Whisker, in Australia, can help you out?

Man, its like prohibition all over again! The lengths we shavers living in RoW (Rest of World) have to go to get American made aftershave is nothing short of ridiculous. Considering all the weird and wonderful things that I can have shipped to my door that I can't get aftershave out of the US is just funny. The stuff can be shipped all over the US and all over the world but there is something about crossing that US - RoW border that suddenly makes it hazardous or what? I don't know if it is a hazardous goods issue or an excise tax on alcohol (booze) issue. Whatever happened to NAFTA? Maybe you could set up a little aftershave mill across the border in Mexico or Canada?

The PAO is the period-after-opening, as prescribed by the European Union
http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/sectors/co...419_en.pdf

Of course, it's not relevant for you at the moment, but the lab making Reserve might need to determine it before submitting the application for the EU certification.

I asked about the PAO because I thought the lab had already determined it. But  your answer satisfies my curiosity! (and mitigates my worries about spoilage)  ;-)

It's a hazardous goods issue. All alcoholic products have to be shipped into Canada with the designation ORM-D. We can't ship to our customers directly, but, thanks to NAFTA, we CAN ship wholesale quantities to our Canadian (and soon Mexican) retailers, so long as they have the proper designation.

We've put in a request for an official SDS, which, to my knowledge, includes a PAO spoilage term (which didn't occur to me until you clarified). It will take 3-6 months to get it from the analytics firm, but I can give you an official answer then. Smile As I said, though, the high alcohol content makes its shelf life essentially unlimited, provided that you don't leave it out in the sunlight for long periods.

Good new for serial collectors like me!

This reminded me of a related question: How about the shelf life of the soaps? Will they degrade noticeably over a period of a year or two? I had a soap from another maker that I quite liked, but didn't use often, that lost its scent in about a one to two year window. In fact, it looked like the oils had drained out of it into a discolored, concentrated mess, leaving the soap itself kind of nasty and unusable. This isn't much of an issue for an everyday use soap, but for those "serial collectors" who rotate casually through a large collection, it'd be nice to have some assurance that the collection won't expire before it can be enjoyed.

Hi Will, I'm hitting the white at the bottom of a tub of Lavanille (and Cheshire as well), and was curious about the rollout of the Glissant base in that fragrance. Should I hold off now in the hopes that Glissant is around the corner or do you think it will be more than a few months away at this point? Thanks for any heads up!

We rate them at two years, but, if stored properly, they should last almost indefinitely. The fragrance will not separate out. We just recommend that they not be stored near lots of water (by which I mean don't submerge them for long periods) or high heat (don't leave them near a furnace or on a radiator). Other than that, they should be fine. Smile

It's next on our list, and we're hoping to have it changed over before the holidays, but I cannot make an absolute guarantee on the matter. Sorry. Sad

- Do you think one could use the AS as a daily moisturizer, even on non-shaving days?
- What is the recommended shelf life (or better, PAO)?

You could, but it might be rather hard to splash it all over your face (and it would be STRONG for awhile). The shelf life is essentially unlimited (the product is still largely alcoholic), but I've never heard the abbreviation PAO. Would you mind clarifying?

what do you mean by rather hard to splash it all over your face?
