I have the original Latha and Oceana. The performance is top notch. The original scent doesn't excite me, but I like Oceana quite a bit.

I snagged a bunch of samples from Maggards in December and the Latha Sandalwood was a big hit with my daughter and SWMBO. It grew on me after a few consecutive sniffs, to the point that I want to get a tub of it now. I will have to say it was going up against Cheshire, Vetyver Santal, and my favorite so far, Seville, so it had to compete with some heavy hitters. Cool

I used Limon Latha last night and man that was some great suds. It had been a while since I used it so I had no preconceived notions about how it was going to perform because I couldn't remember. Wow, protection and off the charts slickness. I really went at it with the water and was rewarded with a great shave. Smells fantastic as well. Finished it off with Lemon Thayers and some Duru Lemon Colonge. Great shave!

I shaved with it several times and never smelled anything from it. I wonder if I just got a dud because the reviews for his Sandalwood soap and aftershave are very good. I bought some balms from his sale yesterday and almost bought the sandalwood to give it one more try but removed it right before checkout.
Interesting, because in a recent order from Sterling for a couple of full pucks of other flavors, I also ordered two sample size pucks of Bonaparte and Sandalwood respectively. The Bonaparte I described in another thread as very feisty with a scent that was very attractive to me and quite strong. I'm using the Sandalwood sample, now, and it, though pleasant, just doesn't have the strength of the Bonaparte. When shaving with the Bonaparte, I was enveloped in its scent, whereas the Sandalwood shaves are barely perceptable when shaving. Could a batch of Sandalwood have received short shrift in the fragrance? As usual, both are superb soaps with which to shave. Easy lathering, slick and luxurious.

So I'm not alone. You have me interested in Bonaparte. Stirling has so many scents to choose from I just buy samples first and then decide which to get full size. Ozark has been my favorite which I ordered the full size last week from The Handlebar. This week I have Glastonbury, Cocoa Forest, and Gatlinburg coming which all sound nice.
