So my take on the scent .. I get some aquatic vibe but with almost all B&M scents I can picture what was intended and go off in another direction with what I’m interpreting altogether. I put the puck to my nose and say yes soft laid back aquatic with some blending and melding , it’s nice . I also can get cucumber and generic cookie if I’m second guessing , it’s weird I think of these things I know but what can I say. Does anyone else have these sort of experiences with Will’s complex creations?

Barrister & Mann Latha was a "simple" line.
But very nice. Specially the aftershave.

I miss my fav, the Taiga.

I certainly do and for me it's usually not a good thing. I have very few B&M soaps as I just haven't gotten along with most of the scents. Right now I have just a couple B&M Diamond, and Leviathion. Will makes great stuff but most just not for me. I have found the same with Tallow+Steel as well.

Totally agree. Oceana was quite disappointing. Glad I just got a small sample. The intended ocean vibe to my nose just evolved into a sickly sweet mess...like a sweet cookie dough. I’m at a loss to figure out why he went in this direction. Wasn’t terribly impressed with his new base either..my first time with it. Very chalky..like it was a Kaizen clone....Good if that’s your thing though..

Kaizen is chalky...hmm I think I've now heard everything.

I'm not disturbed. I just know who not to listen to (for my preferences). No offense.

Dark notes.
I don't like 'em.

I mean to each his own here I suppose, I've always liked aquatic scents ever since I was a teenager. I find this one to be very fresh and enjoyable. I was thrilled to see it return because I was a big fan of it in the Latha line. More than likely, I'll end up buying a reserve of this, even though it isnt something I often do.

I would like to see this scent with the sweet vanilla note subdued and some more prominent woods brought forward.
