My 4 samples arrived today and truth be told I like the scents of each one! War is the one most different. I highly recommend at minimum a sample of each as Will really did some work on these!  Happy

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

I ordered samples of all four of them from B&M on Thursday morning when they became available, but unfortunately USPS just received them this afternoon. Apparently B&M wasn’t expecting the amount of interest that was received from this release and was a bit overwhelmed. I’m glad the pre-order lasts a week, once I receive my samples I can see what I like and order up.

I read those. I was looking for real world opinions, thanks.

I'd appreciate some individual impressions as well. The "official" descriptions don't get me very far. How strong are the scents? Are there any other soaps that come close? How much do they differ from each other, given that they are all variations based on the same central accord? I'll either buy all of them or none, so that would be helpful to know.

They are hard to describe in a general manner and regardless, no matter how articulate my description is others will disagree as scent is a very subjective topic.

I would simply say to splurge on the samples from Maggard and form your own opinions. None are bad and even better you'd be supporting an American artisan who is cutting edge IMO and not afraid to take risks.

I'm in Europe. Delivery usually takes about two weeks, so the samples wouldn't arrive before the release date.
Also, including delivery, customs and handling fees, the four samples would cost me about $30 in total.
