I don't have the SE1 but I have the general for a 'milder' Artist club shave. It's up to you but I would give the SE2 more of a chance.
These artist club razors take time to learn and you have 30 days from ATT---

I hear you. Maybe I am being a bit impatient but I don't see this thing turning around.

Light light touch,,,no pressure and let the razor do the work. Than find the angle---- It will work---if it doesn't turn around, you have 3 plus weeks to swap it out.

I am glad I stuck with it. Took a bit to hone the technique but I think I have worked out the kinks. I have been getting smooth comfortable shaves even with the Kai milds. SE2 is definitely a keeper. Thanks for the encouragement.

Excellent! It's amazing how seemingly unruly razors become tame with practice. I use my SE2 with AC Super blades and it's amazing. Enjoy the adventure!

I can't believe I nearly gave up on this razor. I am pairing it with a Feather AC pro...shaving nirvana. I have a couple Feather AC pro super to try as well. Thanks for support as my faith in the SE2 was waning.
