Just received my La Faulx ++ plate.  Tomorrow is the first shave with it.

GlazedBoker I was following the No. 7 thread in the "Other Forum" and saw the ban hammer in-use. This has made me move here to what I'm sure will be a friendlier place. I want to keep up with the No. 7 news so I think this is the place to be.

I couldn't believe the actions of the "other Forum" towards GlazedBoker and tomas1870 ,  This is like high school all over again.
I had a similar threat made to me when I brought to attention the remarkable similarity of a vendor (not to be named here) and the Lambda Athena.  I was given a cease and desist or else.  I stopped, the vendor didn't.  I was told point blank that the vendors rule.
Now i understand why all the more popular vendors advertise here and not on "The Other Forum".

I've put myself in the middle of these online squabbles before... I used to try to be a peacemaker, but it turns out, that isn't my gift. I end up pouring gasoline on the fire. I let things ride now.

I appreciate the posts and support Gents. But, I need to make this very clear. I did not want to leave there as I have built some pretty good relationships with a few members there and for the most part, a vast majority of members there are quality individuals and yes, even among the stained hierarchy there are some pretty good guys. There are just a few that can’t use logic or reason with civility and be cordial about it. Granted, I’ve always pushed the boundaries somewhat against some of those that believe they are above all others and I’m not free of committing an infraction or two to their hallowed and somewhat questionable rules. In all fairness I kind of pushed them to do this and that was an action I was willing to accept. What I got out of it with one of their admins, it was totally worth it. Before going there, I truly considered that I might be losing out on some good friendships over there and the courteous conduct of those that I’ve dealt with. Nothing but, respect & love for some of those guys, yourselves included. Don’t take my experience and hold it against the managing team. Thy are not all negative or just follow the $$$ sign as their primary objective. Members are what makes the forum, not those that run it and there is some real class and true gentlemen there. I will miss that. But, I have a real good place here with some extraordinarily great gents with a real good mod and admin team. I can’t vouch for everyone here as I don’t know every single individual but, this forum has shown me nothing but, world class etiquette in all facets of a forum that allows all freedom of discourse (within reason and as gentlemen) to be discussed on a daily basis within our shaving hobby.

This is home. Enough said.

Well apparently questioning the mighty moderator Phil about censorship gets you banned.  So I have joined the illustrious group of banned BB members.  I wonder if they will give me a refund on my contributions. LOL.

  No! Really?? That’s 2 or 3 well known members that have been ousted today alone. What a shame…
