At last, the green light has been given and a full "knock yourselves out" salute has been tendered for this exclusive pass around. Before continuing with details and such, I would like to give a huge thank you to Atelier DURDAN for sending us this amazing piece of kit that truly delivers eye candy & foaming at the mouth action that is second to none. I consider it a privilege to sample the craftsmanship that this artisan brings to the wet shave community and his genuine desire for us in this forum to experience a masterfully created shaving tool. We are lucky to have hardware creators such as this Gentleman in allowing us to experience these works of art. Another big, big thank you to andrewjs18 for clearing the way and giving full support to allow this activity to run for all members that decide to participate and run its course as the pass around progresses forward. Without further ado, let’s get to the task at hand.
The newest razor creation from the house of Atelier Durdan and it’s creator/founder Augustin, the N*7 razor. This particular kit has been given the full treatment and sent to us in a classy wood box display with an excellent high polish finish for all components within. There is a stand, handle, top cap and 4 base plates with gap sizes of .3, .7, 1.1, & 1.5 respectively. The finish and fitment is just superb, trust me Gents. It’s simply world class as the pictures here do not do this razor any justice. Once you have it in hand, you’ll understand.

Enough giddy talk and now for a go over about the rules of participation. I know, we hate rules at times but, there has to be an order of care and civility between Gents and I know all of you are class acts. Still, the groundwork and a base has to be implemented to keep the pass around fair, constantly moving and more importantly, fun for all to participate in
Requirements.
1. Member in good standing with a minimum of 50 posts and that has a minimum of 90 days as a full member within this said forum. DFS will take into account those that have good standing in other forums outside of DFS in determining eligibility for this pass around (just pm me directly for Grandfathered consideration of current forum status in said forum. I know quite a few of you so, this should not be a big issue). Those that fall short of those said requirements shouldn’t lose heart. Just hang in there and as the pass around progresses and your time increases here at DFS, you WILL get in.
2. The item must be insured at the minimum requirement for $500 US, no exceptions. This kit is worth twice that and I believe that is a fair amount for those that wish to participate. Costs are expected to be anywhere between $20-$30 US depending where it is shipped from and it’s shipped too destination. It’s not cheap Gents but, consider it the price of entry to play in the game. I will try to map the shipment of the razor between members as to limit an extraordinary shipping distance. Example: say Long Island, NY to San Diego, CA. It would be a very expensive shipping cost and burden to many. I’ll try to mitigate those factors for shipping but, that will not always be the case. Just keeping it real here, Gents. I apologize in advance for those that may suffer this fate. The only shipping medium that will be used exclusively will be the USPS - United States Postal Service. If this is an issue, do consider not participating. In general, it’s the most convenient avenue for most members who will participate. Selected shipping will be 2-3 Priority Large Box. We will try to keep the one that starts it all but, if the traveling starts to take its toll on the box, pm me and i will reimburse those that make the replacement when necessary. When your time is done with the razor package, please send me a photo copy of the tracking information minus the medium of payment (credit card #) so that if the package were to be lost or damaged, I can file a claim and recoup the cost somewhat of the razor kit. No exceptions.
3. Say you are in and post your tag handle with city & state in the list. From there, pm me your contact info that will require a phone# and an email address if any issues should arise. If this is unacceptable then please do not sign up. I’ve been doing these for some time and the last thing I want and other forum members as well is to have someone drop off the grid with said package never to be heard from again. These things happen and other scenarios as well and in most instances no fault to the individual. I need to know the whereabouts and status of the item at all times. I have to keep it fair for everyone across the board. We just want the package to move freely and smoothly throughout this event. First come, first served. If you post your in but, fail to pm me your contact info, you’ll just drop in the order until you do so. Dems Da Breaks….
4. Keep your stay with the razor within 7-10 days maximum. That should afford everyone enough shaves to make an evaluation then get it set and ready for the next member on the pass around list. If any issues should arise and someone has to make a change whether for work, vacation or anything else in life that can happen, notify me and the next person if you want to switch your place in the order of the list. Communication Gents, it’s the key to the whole thing running smoothly. Very important, please clean the razor once you are done. Warm water, mild dish detergent and a soft cloth will suffice. You want to dip it in alcohol or even Barbecide, go at it. Just think of the next guy and how’d you would like to receive the razor….
5. Have fun and hopefully have some fantastic shaves. Please post your thoughts right here in the thread in whatever format or style you choose. Some shave daily and will post daily. Others shave 2-3 times a week and will only post 2-3 times. Others will post perhaps once when they get all their shaves in and that’s perfectly fine. Just notify the thread that it’s in your hands and your time will commence as of that day. Pictures are welcome, always…
