Glad to hear you had a great time with the No.7.  I'll mostly be trying the larger gaps of the bunch.  Maybe do a "best of the rest" shave with the lower 3-4 plates since I'm not into mild razors.  Can't wait to try it when it arrives.  Thanks for the heads up on it being shipped out.

Well Gents, we got one more shave member to get in on the pass around and I’m calling the pass around as officially over and i will not be adding anymore participants to the list. Sadly, all good things must come to an end. I would like to acknowledge every single one of the DFS membership that participated in perhaps one of the more satisfying & easiest running pass around that I have had the pleasure to be in charge of. It’s every member here that makes the journey worth while and ultimately satisfying in sharing an experience with some good rubs & laughs to go along. I extend my utmost sincerest of gratitude to Augustin Atelier DURDAN in providing us with one of his more exquisite & masterful razor creations to date and may he continue to create these wonderful works of functional art with the utmost of success in all of his future endeavors. With equal importance I would like to thank andrewjs18 for allowing this pass around to succeed and grow to it’s fullest extent without impediment of any kind. Truly a class act in my book. Again, a big thank you to all whom participated as it was a true pleasure for me and many here to grab a cup of morning coffee or your favorite beverage to sip along with the fantastic reads on the razors performance & each individual participants personal experience with the No.7 AD razor. Well the Atelier Durdan passaround package arrived yesterday.  Here it is:



The box is kind of cool and not as bad as I was expecting.  I don't think it's worth the premium it goes for but that's another story.

I'm starting out with the .7 of the No.7 since it seems to be one of the more popular plates with everyone here.  I used my Carbon CX ++ yesterday so I didn't want to go too aggressive with the 1.5 the day after, but I digress... 

The weight of the parts alone felt substantial and not flimsy.  I loaded it up with my trusty Lab Blues blade, lathered up my favorite Pomp (rose scent) soap and Zenith Short n Scrubby boar brush in honor of DecemBOAR.



The .7 seemed very efficient and smooth.  It felt lighter assembled than my Carbon CX brass I used yesterday but not in a bad way.  Has some audible feedback which is a nice touch.  The handle which I've never liked judging by photos is much nicer in person and while using than seeing in pictures.  I just don't use stands and the tapered point to the bottom of the handle seemed weird.  I still don't care for it aesthetically but the rest of it works great.  

Looking forward to tomorrow's shave which I will try the .3 to take it easy since I rarely shave on consecutive days.  Loving it so far and a great start!!! Thanks everyone that's been a part of this!!!!
